Does anyone know if the cup part is microwave safe please.

Hi. I wouldn’t bother purchasing this product as it was too small. I’m below average build and the mask part was too small. The whole thing was cheap and nasty so I wouldn’t imagine it lasting the microwave too many times. And the crystals only last about 30 seconds! Sorry for the negative comments but I only used mine once and then chose to throw it away

Can I add Olbas Oil to it instead?

You can add any suitable inhalant. However the crystals that come with it are very strong and last for ages. You only need to use about 6 single crystals to get an effective solution.

How does the product work ? Does it heat the water and release steam or do you pour hot water into it ? Is it effective if later is the case ?

You pour hot water into it along with a crystal or 2, if it goes cold we reheat in the microwave. It really does work and is an amazing little gadget.
