I have never used another Gua Sha tool before, but it has been something I've wanted to try for a long time. This one is made of stainless steel on the outside with a silicone piece in the middle to hold - this piece is a bit ugly with the giant logo, but that may be beside the point. It is rather thick, thicker I've heard that regular gua sha tools, as this one is hollow with some kind of liquid inside. When warm, you can feel and hear it sloshing around.As other reviewers have mentioned, the instructions could be clearer. Personally, I knew I would always forget to put it in the freezer "30 minutes" before I wanted to use it, so I've just been keeping it in the freezer constantly. So far, it hasn't deteriorated. However, I will say that the steel piece does build up some frost, even inside of the nice bag that came with the tool. So perhaps using it only in the fridge rather than freezer may be helpful to some who don't want to deal with the frost sticking just a bit to your face, making it harder to glide over. For me, it's not really an issue - just takes a little bit more patience.Even though the silicone piece in the middle is ugly, it's super useful because it protects my fingers when I use it. If I had to hold the steel part, they'd freeze! The silicone was a nice touch. So, too, was the bag that the tool comes in, as it keeps it nice and clean in the freezer. And all pieces are easily washable.I love to use this in the morning just before I go to work. It's a great way to wake myself up and make my face look just a bit less tired. Also gives my pale face a bit of color as the cold gets the blood flowing!

This Gua Sha stainless steal tool works great. The build quality is good and it is an interesting alternative to the stone based Gua Sha by being stainless steal and having liquid cooling on the inside. Great concept that is well executed. I liked that it is easy to grip despite the the cold touch when it has been refrigerating for a while thanks to the silicone center. If you are looking for a facial Gua Sha tool that has the added bonus of cold therapy and at t reasonable price to try it out, then this may be the one for you.

This Gua Sha combines the traditional Gua Sha shape with innovative cryotherapy. It’s maybe twice as wide as a traditional crystal or stone Gua Sha but about the same length and width. While slightly larger it’s not unyieldy in the hand.The tool is stainless steel on the edges with a plastic/rubber middle stamped with the brand name. It’s filled with a liquid that you can feel sloshing around. The tool comes with bad instructions as it says to “freeze in the refrigerator.” I was left confused as obviously it wouldn’t freeze in the refrigerator. I was unsure whether the liquid was meant to be put in the freezer at this point even though I remember something about freezing it in the product description. Upon further research I did see that online it says to freeze for 30 minutes or put in the refrigerator overnight. This is not mentioned in the printed instructions, just freeze in the fridge. Still not certain whether it can be stored in the freezer when not in use. Some products are ok to be stored and some are not, so be aware this *could* ruin it. I’m not going to risk it.Besides the issue with included instructions which makes this piece less giftable, I really loved using it. It combines the anti inflammatory abilities of Gua Sha plus cooling. Double duty! It works really well after all serums and lotions are applied. I also used an oil to help it glide better. It felt like a traditional Gua Sha except cold obviously and smoother because of the rounded edges.How well does it stay cold? Exceptionally. Honestly, the first time I used it I had forgotten to throw it in the fridge first. It had just been sitting in the house which we keep fairly cool in the fall months. I would estimate the house was about 60 degrees. This tool felt amazingly cool just in 60 degrees (your fridge is probably 20 degrees or so cooler). It stayed cool through the entire routine without even having been in the fridge. My only complaint with the usage was that while they tried to design the product so your hand wouldn’t freeze, it was still cold to hold!At the end of the day, I’ve tried lots of gimmicky Gua Sha variations including ones with infrared lights and vibration and this one is so far my favorite. The cooling sensation is the perfect addition to an anti inflammatory device. My biggest complaint is the poorly written instructions included in the package.

I love the feeling of this tool massaging the face. The cold therapy feels great and the results show. Your skin glows after the cold treatment. The instructions were easy to follow and the results are almost immediate. This would be a great gift for anyone who loves to spa.
