Great pick up power
This has great suction. Light weight to use. I can easily get under my sectional couch which had been an issue with any other portable sweeper. Good quality without the high sticker price. Just turn it on and go! The cordless feature makes it easy to use anywhere from house to car to camper. Plan on buying a 2nd to keep in the camper. Only thing we don't like is it uses up batter power pretty quickly so not ideal for household use but great for car, boat, and camper.

Powerful, Convenient, Long lasting charge
This is a powerful hand vacuum. The attachments are a bit clunky getting on an off but they work well at doing the job. The cleaning is not just "click and dump" but, for what you get in suction power and battery longevity, this hand vacuum is worth the small hassle of removing the filter to empty it. What's really great is having the ability to use a construction battery as this makes it last FOREVER on one charge! It's very convenient using power tool batteries. We use it in the house mostly but it's very suitable for any shop dust. It picks up kitty litter trails with ease. Would recommend.

This thing really suxx
Great vacuum. I have the actual Makita that I keep in my kitchen for a quick clean up, I wanted to buy another to keep in my camper. While searching on Amazon I stumbled upon this one and made the purchase. It’s better than the name brand one. It has all the best features you need from a small vacuum, the suction is amazing and i will be buying another to replace the name brand one in the house.Edit:I’ve had this for about two years now and it’s still going strong. I have since bought another two to have in the house. It works better than my Dyson. 10/10

Is helpful!
We love this vac. Only good for small pickups but works great. We use it outside and inside on a fully charged battery. Picks up small leaves, saw dust - even dog hair. Easy to empty the container. Take your time reattaching it to motor. I would buy again.

Very good vacuum
This review is for makita version vacuum.First of all let me make it clear to everyone: people think it's an original makita or dewalt vacuum. It is not. Its a very good copy of dewalt dvc501h model. Maybe it's made in the same factory because the quality is very good. Thr vacuum is made of quality material but the attachment pipes are of cheap material. You have to snug fit the pipes so they won't come apart when using the vaccum. I have used the original makita 18v , 5AH battery and it was enough to clean my whole apartment. I have no carpet, just floor. So it worked out fine for me. If you buy makita batteries from other venders then chances are, they may not be original batteries. An original makita battery 18v 5ah goes for $150 bucks in homedepot. So if you are buying a makita battery for 27 dollars, you can't expect the same performance as the original battery. Some people have complained that the vacuum shuts off after a minute or a few seconds. This is not because of vacuum. Your batteries are either too small, too old or defective. They just don't have the current to keep up with this vacuum motor. Get a good quality original battery and see the magic. Some people are saying, it didn't come with a battery or a cord. Hahaha. You have paid for just the tool. It says clearly in the description that no battery will be shipped. The vacuum is noisy but i don't care. I used it to clean my apartment floor and also my car interior. I have a shop wet/dry vacuum and so happens, the flexible pipe that came with that vacuum, fits this cordless vaccum perfectly. So i had used it to clean my car with the small brush attachment. The hose was used from my "stealth " 3 gallon, 3hp, wet/dry vacuum. Let's just say, i got lucky. I bet i will not be using my shop vac for a while. This little machine does it all very easily.

Great suction power for a cordless vacuum
This product is a direct copy of a Dewalt Model #DCV501HB 20v vacuum for about 40% less money. It is made to fit different tool brand batteries and comes in colors corresponding to the intended battery maker. Red = Milwaukee, Blue = Makita, Yellow = DeWalt. On its own merits, it comes with a nice variety of USEFUL attachments and enough wand extensions to be used as a standing floor vacuum. My use is for cleaning small messes like dog kibble, spilled cereal, firewood bark and dirt around the fireplace, and general crumbs and dog hair. It does a great job around the house and in my cars. I used it recently to clean my minivan from front to back. Its the "dog car" now that my kids are grown. Plenty of Christmas tree needle, dog hair and wrappers from candy and crackers. It sucks eveything up and does a great job on carpet using the brush attachment. Some of the hair is tough, but the brush bristles at least got the hair into a pile that i pulled out of the fibers and let the vac suck that up. It lasted thru the van and a midsize SUV on a 3ah battery ( about 30 mins). I have other milwaukee powered vacuums and this one is excellent. It doesn't have the power of my genuine Milwaukee wet/dry vac, but its smaller form factor and one hand operation are better. This is an excellent product and I would buy it again.

Great for just about anything but carpet, but can't get filters (Makita version)
Has great suction but really isn't for carpet without a motorized brush head. Does a great job on most anything else and runs a long time on a 3 AH battery or bigger. I'll get a couple spare filters to keep a backup when it needs to be washed. The extension tubes and other accessories are a little cheap but workable.Update: I had rated this as 4 stars only because the accessories are somewhat cheaply made, but dropping to 3 stars because I can't seem to find filters. The different versions look the same except for the brand of battery they're meant to use, but they are not. Twice I've tried to get filters and despite the description, I ended up filters that don't fit the Makita version of this vacuum. $20 down the drain and I'm stuck with washing the original filter and waiting for it to dry. For that reason, I cannot recommend this vacuum.
