Deox Gel, I was expecting it not to be that good, I had used a previous rust converter that converted the steel on my scooter frame to rust. After a quick wash down I painted the deox onto the rusty areas and after an hour I wiped it off, with a damp cloth and the rust had turned to a sludge, but underneath it was bright steel again.Once you dry off the treated areas, Rust doesn't come back, provided you don't get it wet again, the steel that is.There were no fumes or strong odours, rubber gloves are needed. It acts like an acid but it isn't and is kind to the Enviroment. It cuts straight through rust that doesn't come back again.

I had various rusty brackets and other fittings on my motorbike. I painted on a good dollop of this stuff, covered the bits in cling film and left it for 48 hours. Wiped off the gel, bit of work with a brush and all the rust has gone.Recommended.

not strong even for anything much more than surface rust. surface rust is easy to remove anyway. needs warm conditions 20°+.why doesn't someone make a strong oxalic or citric acid paste.Three stars perhaps for pitted metal or folded metal corners where physical methods won't reach (but am not certain it does either)

I have used this stuff quite extensively. It does a really good job on parts that can't be soaked in Deox-C solution. Apply it liberally and leave overnight, then wash off the blackened sludge to reveal clean metal. You might need a couple of treatments in really bad areas. One tip: wrap the treated item in cling-film to stop it drying out over night and periodically give it a sqidge to mix the gel up
