Best tasting matcha for price. Would definitely buy again. And it has a nice dark green color while still tasting very smooth.

Having tasted quite a few matcha brands, FKRO matcha still managed to surprise me with its creamy and full-bodied umami flavor. This one actually gets me excited to get up in the morning and have it. I’m so glad to have finally found my morning coffee replacement! I love this matcha with just water alone but would occasionally switch it up by mixing it with plant-based coconut or oat milk, which I find to pair well with matcha as compared to dairy milk.WHAT IS FKRO LIKE?The matcha powder comes in an aluminum pouch inside of the tin. My journey as soon as I opened the pouch and was greeted with the fresh aromatic sweet vegetal scent. I'm sure you'd agree that a good smell influences the taste of any food. I was gentle with transferring the matcha into my cup as I don’t want my matcha powder to fly around my kitchen. The matcha is a very pure vibrant green.HOW I PREPARED MY “TRADITIONAL” CEREMONIAL MATCHA:-I heated water to about 170 degrees-I added ½ tsp of matcha to my cup (I was lazy to sift)-I poured about 4 oz of water over the top of the matcha-I used a handheld milk frother to mix until frothy with no clumps (not quite the traditional bamboo whisk method but higher tech version)I’d adjust the amount of water used depending on my preference for the strength of the tea I’m feeling that day. Sometimes more, sometimes less. The matcha foams up well, mixed with water with ease and no clumps.TASTE:The thick foam on the surface is very satisfying to drink. The aroma and flavor are very complex – natural umami sweetness with slight astringency towards the end, but well-balanced by the creamy, thick and rich mouthfeel. The perfect balance of strength and smoothness.HOW DOES THIS TEA AFFECT ME?I always had a love-hate relationship with caffeine, especially with coffee. It made me tense, drained and out of touch with my body, but I couldn’t function without it. I don’t experience these side effects with this matcha tea. I do feel that I have better sustained energy levels and am able to focus for a longer period of time without ‘crashing’. Now I see why everyone talks about L-theanine. Overall, I am more productive (as seen with my lengthy review!!) and calm after my daily cup of FKRO matcha.SUMMARY:I thought matcha is just a fad powered by Instagram. Now, I understand why people go crazy over it. This matcha tea is in its own league. I have finally found my new daily morning boost. The color is a lush vibrant green, just like fresh vegetable produce. The aroma and flavor are very complex – natural sweetness with slight astringency towards the end, but well-balanced by the creamy, thick and rich mouthfeel. I must say that the focus and zenergy I get from this tea is great and I will be subscribing to this. You won’t be disappointed.

This is a good choice for a daily matcha. It is a bit astringent, creamy, and has a rich matcha flavor. The color is really green so right away you know that quality is great and it's a fresh product that hasn't gone through oxidation. If you don't finish this matcha within a month, I highly suggest you keep it refrigerated as it will slow down the oxidation process since it is now opened. The main reason I purchased this matcha is that it is single origin. Much like coffee beans, you want your tea to be single origin so lower quality products are not mixed in. The best matcha comes from Uji, Japan where this product is sourced. There is an unprecedented global matcha shortage and many popular tea houses have exhausted their matcha supply so I would encourage people to try smaller brands like this one that offer a high quality matcha and can delivery quickly and maybe even put it on subscribe and save to make sure you get your matcha.

Wasn't expecting much from this shop since they only sell on Amazon from what I could tell. The matcha sits at a decent price for American standards. It isn't bitter, has some umami, naturally sweet and smooth on the tongue. This is a no-brainer solid matcha that I can use without too much guilty conscience for the price tag.

Absolutely love this matcha! A friend recommended I try it with just water, and I was surprised by how smooth and naturally flavorful it is. My usual everyday matcha ran out and I had put in an order but was gonna take at least a week to process and get to me (from Japan). I needed matcha to fill that void and luckily Amazon Prime came to the rescue! I decided to try FKRO as recommended by an influencer who loves and knows all things matcha. This did not disappoint. Although it is organic I can say that the color is on point. Usually organic matchas have a duller color but this one was quite vibrant. Taste is certainly bold and rich. In my opinion the caffeine is stronger than what I usually drink but definitely no jitters. I love that it is not clumpy and sifts beautifully, almost as if you don't have to sift at all (but I always do regardless). It is high quality and actually really great for the price. It is affordable compared to other brands especially for the size.

I drink Matcha every day. I do it traditional way with just 176 degree water and whisk it with a bamboo chasen in a matcha bowl.I have tried 5-6 high end brand in this sits at the bottom 3rd. It has great color but seems to be very clumpy and sticky (almost wet). I always sift my matcha and this sticks to everything my bamboo spoon the sifter the chasen. The taste is also little more bitter than I expected for a tea of this grade. Also the umami is lacking. Does this fit in the bucket of High-end Matcha yes but is hanging on and this should wow me.

This matcha is one of my favorite. It’s so creamy and sweet .
