We use these for homeschooling K. They are large font, big spaces, ample space. Great for dyslexic or new students who need visually simple layouts.Lessons are short and concise, goes in an order to help the students build their skills and work towards words and sentences.A great age appropriate approach.I also love the thickness of the paper!

Our sped students need extra structure to guide their writing. This program is an amazing foundation.

I taught for 8 years in a classroom and started homeschooling my kids this year. I have always loved the handwriting without tears program and my kindergartener finished his kindergarten workbook so we moved onto this one. I love it and once he gets the hang of it, I’m going to try to make it be his independent work. It’s very helpful in creating and writing sentences. The ONE thing I wish differently is that it had a true writing road. He does get a little confused with just two long lines and no dotted lines so he’s learned to write letters on the writing road. That was a bit of a learning curve for him but other than that it’s terrific!

I have utilized this book for two of my children. As early readers and writers, they needed curriculum more advanced than what was typical for their age, but was still gentle enough to accommodate their age. Building Writers has been just that that. The directions are simple. The assignments are in not intimidating. My children still steadily progress, without being overwhelmed with details they aren’t ready for. My children do a page a day, and never dawdle. They also love the opportunity to draw at the end of each lesson. This has been a fantastic curriculum to lean on when we’ve had to simplify school.

I was expecting more ABC review since it is for 5 yo but it is just sentences. I love the quality and am glad to use it when my child is able.
