My daughter is highly allergic to cedar, which I found most dog houses to be built of. It is a good design, with the door off center and the roof slightly over lapping.We reinforced it with glue, a water heater blanket and a moving blanket stapled to the walls inside. She has stayed dry and warm.

CHEAP cheap cheap. Snaps if an animal leans on it and cannot hold the weight if they climb on the roof. Dangerous to animals with screws exposed as it breaks.

I bought this medium sized dog house to use as a cat shelter. It works great for that. This house is super easy to put together. The floor is kind of slatted, so I ended up caulking those pieces to prevent airflow from coming up from the bottom. This is a soft style wood in my opinion, seeing as a few screws you have to screw in when attaching the roof, go directly into the house without pre-drilled holes. You can screw them in with very little pressure applied. The house is sturdy.I had read reviews about mold being on the house when they received it. I have attached pictures of what is possibly mold on the house where you can judge for yourself. The house is packed with Styrofoam around it. Part of me thinks the mold could be material off the Styrofoam. Either way, I used bleach water to clean the whole house before I put it together and that seemed to sanitize it.

We bought this to replace a rather ugly homemade dog house that we had located on our front porch for our dog. The homemade one was a shanty compared to this sleek, streamlined TAKUKA Outdoor Wooden Dog House. It was so easy to put together and it looks fab on our porch. Dog loves it! Our dog is about 40lbs and he fits in it comfortably. I can't recommend this product enough!

So I ordered this a while ago and just today got brave enough to put this together. Quality is lacking, wood is splintered in a few spots and there's a section on the bag panel that looks like something rubbed against it and took off the color and made some digs in it. The white packing material, not normal Styrofoam, is stuck to the bottom of two of the legs, I could not get it off. The directions basically had no words, just pictures. The lid required a second person, one to hold it up, one to skrew in the skrews. Oh, and there were no pre drilled holes for the roofer hinges! My original plane was to purchase two or three more of these (fir my tortoises) before the cold weather returns but after seeing the low quality of this one I will be looking at other brands.

Great product! Bought 2 for a winter shelter for some feral cats in the neighborhood. So easy to assemble, took maybe 10 min. The top has a coating similar to shingles. It has rained a couple times already and the straw inside has remained dry. Would defiantly recommend

This is a functional dog house that provides shade and rain protection but it's laughable at it being well made or well insulated. It's so thin. I think the wood is hollow lol. Time will tell how it holds up but I would not expect my dog to stay warm in the winter in this. We ended up adding insulation last winter. I will say it's not really faded at all and it's been outside for 6 months. Now it's been downgraded to a house for my ducks.

Easy to assemble, but wood is cracked or broken in 3 key spots. Not thrilled with how it will fall apart in the near future.Update!!!! As expected it fell apart by the end of March, another waste of money on Amazon with the crap they continue to sell. So again, I paid for something that I had to throw away…::and No response from the seller.
