Just enough!
I purchased this boot along with a 36 oz Yeti Tumbler and so far, it seems to be working out great. It is just thick enough on the bottom to protect the bottle from slight drops, but not too thick to get in the way.The only cons I can see here are that if you are using one of those oversized cup holders in your car for large water bottles, this might cause the bottle to not fit in one of those. But for the price, you can’t beat it.

Fits the camelbak lifestraw 32 oz stainless steel vacuum insulated water bottle. Fits the circumference perfectly. I didn't have to struggle or stretch the item to fit. No more clanking around and good anti slip surface. I wish the manufacture could have added camelbak to the fitment list.

This worked perfectly for my Owala 32 oz. Free Sip. Small thing, but I was looking for a shorter boot because I like the look better, and this one perfectly comes up right before the "O" in the logo at the bottom.
