The camera works as expected even when using the hardwire kit. A FYI that I couldn’t find anywhere: your camera is supposed to say “entering parking mode in 5 minutes” or similar after you turn your car off. The green light will turn on if someone walks by, and then turn back off. That means it’s recording. If you are still able to turn the camera completely on using any of the four lower buttons, you did not wire the ACC correctly and the camera thinks the car is still running since the screen will be fully on. Even if you turn your camera to turn screen off after 15-30 seconds in the settings, if it’s in parking mode it should not be able to turn that screen on. Hope this helps others.

Front camera is awesome. Directions are not great. It is compact and does not take up space. Cord for rear camera is too short, and I have a small car. Also I can’t figure how to record the rear camera, even when I switch to the rear camera only the front camera records. I will likely return as I wanted a unit that records both front and rear.Update: The manufacturer reached out to me directly to resolve my concerns. And not just once, they kept in touch to make sure that I was satisfied with the product and understood the functions. This is truly a customer centric organization. I give them 10 stars for their customer service alone.

This is not my first dash cam I have from 70mai. I purchased 2 70mai Omni for my 2 cars and they work great. This new model is 4K. Great video quality and night vision is solid. It comes with 128GB SD card. It has good length of cables. It has built in GPS tracks speed and location. You connect to the dash cam’s WIFI to download the video clips using their app. The app is easy to use. So far I am very satisfied with this dash cam. I just bought their new model T800 from the kickstarter. Looking forward to it.

The device is easy to set up. But the rear cam the wire is long enough for the sedan. I have to purchased extra cable wire that’s why I give 4 stars.

My 8th 70mai dashcam, and 4th 800S cam.I think 800s should be today's standard for a dashcam. Sure, you can go cheaper or pay more for less/more features, but 800s is a good balance.Daytime video is very clear. Easy to read license plates on passing cars.Phone app can help manage all the 70mai dashcam in your households.70mai customer service is great with any issues.Only con is parking mode is only available with optional power kit and not the battery in the cam itself.

I’ve been using 70mai dash cams for over 2 years now, and this is the third model I’ve purchased. I’ve used their cameras both in my personal car and in my truck, and they’ve always delivered excellent performance.The A800S is no exception – great video quality (even at night), easy Wi-Fi connection, and the included 128GB card is a huge plus. The build feels premium, and installation was quick and smooth. I also love the parking mode and GPS tracking features – very useful for both city and highway driving.I’m so satisfied that I’m already planning to buy a second A800S for our second car 😅.
