Ashwagandha is Hepatotoxic
Problem is not with the brand but rather with the herb - Ashwagandha . Ashwagandha is hepatotoxic i.e. it damages your liver cells . I found this out when my blood work came in . Liver enzymes and Bilirubin were way over the normal threshold . If you really want to take Ashwagandha then pair it with NAC or Milk thistle so as to inactivate hepatotoxic metabolites of Ashwagandha mainly [ Withanone - which causes DNA and liver damage ] .
