Premium product / Full recommendation
Amazing. Very bright and the high CRI rating produces a very rich accentuation of surrounding materials. The adhesive is a high grade semi-removable media and should work well with most smooth clean surfaces. I didn't have a problem with it putting into aluminum channels. Adhere by putting pressure on the rubber diffuser first (yellow part) then use a flathead screwdriver or any other flat object to adhere the sides of the strip for the best results. The one nitpick I had with this strip is that when you cut it at the designated lines, the amount of copper left on each side to solder to is really small and didn't want to take my flux or solder very well. I used a razor blade to shave off more of the protective coating near the copper to expose more of the raw copper underneath for a larger surface area and better bond to my wiring. Worth the extra work for this stunning quality light

Looks and works so well, It is in two kitchens now!
I have used other types of ribbon LED before, this is far superior! I have used the type with individual LED emitters, the maximum density type, but still got "shadows" on the back wall. This has excellent "even" light, and is a great "working" light. I use it personally, and have great reviews from the other kitchen I have used it in now. It will now be the "go to" product for the foreseeable future! I used it inside of channel. In the past I have had call backs with cleaning "kitchen grease soot", I suggest you do as well. Especially near the stove. I mention this for this point, in past as mentioned I have used the "other" type of LED strip, when you put it in channel with a diffuser, the light is reduced so much, it takes away much of the "working light" aspect. it is still okay for ambiance, but not much else. This product does not have that issue. Using the channel & plastic cover will increase the longevity, as it is possible, to clean the diffuser!

Under cabinet lighting
Used these under my cabinets for counter lighting. Used with a transformer and some metal channel strips.Love how it turned out and that they dim. Really adds so much to our kitchen. You will need to learn to solder. It’s not hard once you get the hang of it, but the copper pads are fragile and will tear off easily. To keep this from happening make sure the strips are inside the channel enough to either glue the wires down so they don’t strain they pads, or tape them. Once I did this, I didn’t have anymore issue with them tearing, I was just putting the strip all the way to the edge of the channel.Been a few months now and they still look good.

Bright but adhesion issues
I bought this LED strip to replace an old valance light system in my kitchen. The old one was 20 years old and beginning to fail so I thought it was about time. The strip was easy to deal with but there weren't any connectors so I ended up having to solder wires into the strip. My valence light is in 4 sections so I needed to cut it into 4 pieces and connect them in parallel. No big deal. It looked really good and brighter and whiter than the original. I ordered the 4000K colour. But then the next morning I took out my toaster and made some toast. The LED strip above the toaster began to detach. I wasn't happy; this shouldn't happen. My solution was to get some clear silicone and coat the entire strip with a thin film. No more droopy LED strip but this shouldn't be necessary. The only other thing is that this strip is SO much brighter than the old one that I may need to install a dimmer. Again, no big deal but it is unexpected.
