Get the right brand of battery to make sure it fits
I was very annoyed with this adapter when I first used it because the Energizer 4LR44 gets stuck in it and is nearly impossible to remove without mangling the battery using pliers. I have since learned that the Duracell version (A28) is slightly smaller around than the Energizer version and fits perfectly with no problems. I can't speak to any other brands, so try to find some specs online but you might have to try a few brands to figure out which one fits. This 6v battery works perfectly in my Electro 35 GSN even though it is replacing a 5.6v mercury battery--the meter was still functional and exposure was good. There is also another option: the 4LR44 is literally just four LR44 batteries in series with a wrapper around them. I dropped four LR44 batteries into the adapter and while it was not as tall as with the 4LR44, it contacted both the spring and the door and works perfectly. And nothing gets stuck. Consider this option if you can't find a 4LR44 brand that fits the adapter, or just have a big stack of LR44s lying around.I have no idea if this adapter is better or worse than any other brand's adapter, but it worked perfectly for me (if I avoid the Energizer).

Didn't fit at all
got my battery stuck in the thing, and it wouldn't come out of the adapter. ended up sawing the thing in half just to get the battery out.Don't waste your time with this, or at least just hollow out the inside more than it already is. I'd rather have slightly too much room rather than not enough.

If you have older cameras like an Electro 35 you know why this is important
So many older cameras use batteries that you can't get anymore or are too expensive. Sometimes you can make up a battery block like by taping others together but, ugh. Not a great solution. This solves the problem of stacking LR44s Just insert into the adapter and they will act like one larger 6v battery.

Fits 4LR44 Battery and Yashica Camera Perfectly
I bought this to try and get a Yashica Electro AX camera up and running, and it fits both the 4LR44 battery and camera perfectly. Unfortunately, there must be another issue with the camera since it's still unresponsive, and I'm successfully measuring voltage from the adapter. I'm going to wind up using it with a different Yashica that I have, a TL Electro rangefinder. The only suggestion I have would be to include some instructions on how to load the battery into the adapter. As I was trying to make the Electro AX work, I had to refer back to the pictures on the Amazon page to see if I was making some kind of mistake in the position of the battery or the adapter itself.Otherwise, a great way to continue using some cool classic cameras that take unavailable mercury cells.

Waste of money
Didn't work. The battery got stuck inside the tube. Waste of time and money. Ended up taping 4 LR44 batteries together and put aluminum foil on both ends to fill the gap as seen on a YouTube video.

Terrible does not work
The media could not be loaded. Not only did the battery have to be jammed in because it wasn’t the right size but it’s impossible to take the battery out without destroying
