This robust and portable little charger can only output 7.5 Watts, so it won't give you a particularly fast charge, but it is small enough and light enough to top-up a phone such as a Samsung Galaxy S20+. The steel casing makes the charger really robust although a little heavier than others of its size, and prone to picking up finger marks/prints. The built-in cable minimises how much you need to carry and the risk of loosing a charging cable when you most need it.The steel case can also use the non-charging mag-safe system to attach it to the back of a suitably equipped phone-case, but it is very clear that it is not designed to charge through the mag-safe connection.The port that is used to charge it is a USB-C which can be used as an additional output port, but the total output will be split between this port and the integrated USB-C cable.The charger comes in a lovely presentation box, with a sparkle on its black background. As well as an instruction leaflet and charging lead, it came packed with a small xmas gift tag which shows a lit Christmas tree on front and back, and blank inside for your message. It would make a lovely, practical gift over the festive season.🎄The instructions and box are in very good English and the extremely polite form of Japanese, even though the device itself is made in China.

Compact little 5000mAh battery pack, was interested in the magnetic attachment feature as an alternative to a ‘normal’ power bank, to make it easier for my daughter to use (11 at time of review) with her first phone, which was not new so the battery not as good as when it was first made, so a back-up power source is necessary.Nicely packaged on delivery, presented in a smart box, with a short USB C cable for device charging, some instructions and a blank Christmas card (it’s that time of year!)Charged up without issue, has a row of four leds as a charge indicator, delivered with three so not long to fully charge.The short built in cable for charging the phone is flexible and long enough for the purpose.As a charger it functions fine, no issue there.The magnetic attachment feature does work – you can pick the phone up (gently) with the battery attached, just does not give the impression of being securely attached! It moves about a bit and any significant movement is likely to make it fall off. This is used with a metal plate fitted inside the phones case – which is possibly reducing the impact of the magnets. Not as securely attaching as had imagined.Can’t comment on how it would perform with a mobile phone with actual magnetic function or a case with ‘magsafe’ type feature, I would imagine better, as it sticks quite well to house radiators etc!As a good, compact and light little unit, it will be good for her to have with her, just not permanently attached to the phone while charging & moving around, more for static charging.

Unfortunately I couldn't get this device to stick to an S23 with a magnetic case. The battery was moving around and I was concerned that it was going to fall off from the phone.The battery has a short (long enough) in built cable to connect to a USB-C socket on a phone. The phone did charge, it wasn't the fastest, but in an emergency I wouldn't be concerned with speed, but reliability.The other side of the battery there is a socket for using the supplied USB cable for charging.The size of the battery physically is quite small, and would fit easily in a pocket, however I would be wary of keeping it next to my wallet etc. just in case I wiped a keycard or similar.

This product comes in a box with the portable charger, and a USB C charging cable. The charger was more than half full when it arrived so was suitable for charging a phone straight away. The portable charger does not take long to charge as the capacity is 5000mAh. It also doesn't charge devices with fast charging. However, this is more than made up for by the very small size. It is a little longer and taller than a credit card and as thick as around 7-8 credit cards. This is really good for a device of this size. The capacity is more than enough to charge my phone more than once.There is a button on the side that you can press to see the current charge level which lights up a total of 4 stars on a full battery.The portable charger is also magnetic - so if your phone is magnetic, it will be able to cling to the back of your phone. The most helpful thing is also that it has a built in USB C cable so do not need to carry another around with you. For the size and the built in cable, this phone is definitely recommended. 5 Stars
