I can't say enough good things about this suit!Our 2 yr old had a near drowning this summer, and it sparked us to not only find a floatations suit, but the BEST floatations suit. After MUCH extensive research, comparing reviews, we decided on this Splash About suit. Due to our reasons for buying it, I was gonna be a viciously tough critic! WE LOVE THIS SUIT! Our 2.5 yr old didn't put up a fuss at all while getting it on her, like she previously would with water wings or life jackets. It keeps her afloat, her head above the water, and it has perfectly centered her balance while leaving her arms completely free to paddle naturally (unlike the popular puddle jumper that restricts their arm movement). She's completely confident to float and paddle unassisted, without us holding her... and I'm confident that if she ever was to end up in the water behind our backs, it would keep her up above the water line.The foam inserts are removable, to adjust buoyancy. We haven't had to remove any yet though. That didn't stop her from taking them out herself though, while running around the house in it for fun! But while in the water, she didn't pay any attention to it, so we just don't let her run around in the suit anymore.Please note: I do not condone/recommend leaving a child in it, or any devise, unattended around water. IIt's definitely become an extra source of reassurance for us that she is safer while still able to have fun :)

Bought this for extra security and piece of mind for our upcoming houseboat trip. Searched around before I found this one and I'm so glad that I chose this one over other brands. The quality is good. The design that I chose is super cute and she loves running around the house in it. She seems comfortable in it and it doesn't seem to bother her wearing it around. Haven't used it in the water yet so if I remember I'll come back on and do a review once we've used it on our house boat trip for a more thorough review. Our daughter has been above the 95th percentile for her entire life as far as height goes so she is a little bit on the taller side so I decided to go with the 2-4 years as far as size and it fits her perfectly. Not too small...not too big... just right. Definitely recommend this swim suit.

This is an amazing item to have for your grandchildren. i spent most of last year holding my grandbaby in the pool which was exhausting. This year i bought this item and she doesnt even want me to touch her lol. it holds her up in the water (and i use arm floatys) and she kicks and swims on her own. i love that her head is above water. she has flipped over several times and it kept her head up and she can flip right back on her belly. i will be using this item until either she is swimming or they no longer make it in her size. i would give it more than 5 stars if i could.

This is a very cute suit and the idea is great. However, my almost two year old either flipped forward or flipped on her back, thus swallowing a bunch of water. It definitely helps to keep them afloat when you are swimming with them, but this product cannot be used alone!

I liked this product for short time use for a vacation. The zipper broke though the second week of use. The other one worked fine and never any issues.

Horrible product! Does not work and had holes in it. Better off with a puddle jumper.

I purchased this bathing suit on a whim. my toddler used to use the swim ways suit with the round innertube attached. it worked great for her. it helped her be in the pool with half of her body out of the water, unfortunately it won't work this year as we're trying to teach her to swim. I saw this suit while searching for toddler swimming aids and I'm so glad I bought it. we used it for the first time last week. my daughter had a hard time balancing at first but then I remembered I purchased the Swimways soft floaties. Once I put the floaties on her arms it was like night and day. the floaties helped her balance herself in the pool. this swimsuit is wonderful! I love that I am able to remove the foam like pieces as she grows and gets more comfortable in the water. my daughter is only 2.5 yrs old so I'm sure an older child wouldn't need the floaties, but they help with our situation.

We had previously bought a larger size for our 2 year old great grandbaby and she LOVES being able to bounce/float around the pool freely. We never leave her unattended but she at least has freedom of movement and has a great time. This one was bought for an 8 month old and mostly for our own piece of mind that she at least won't sink if she slips out of our arms due to sunscreen and a wiggling baby. She also has on arm floaties and usually we sit her in another baby float we have too. With very young babies it's difficult to figure the placement of the float pieces to know how to keep her upright but not on her face. I still am very happy I bought this suit for piece of mind but never, ever leave a baby alone for a second.
