I was on the hunt for a plastic-free, spill-proof travel mug. This mug doesn’t claim to be plastic-free, but it comes kind of close. Unfortunately, the handle of the spill guard is plastic, as is the grooved part of the lid. The body of the mug is stainless steel, but the inside is definitely coated with something.Overall, it’s a very nice travel mug— and it should be for the price!! It keeps drinks piping hot for hours, almost too hot, frankly. I’ve had to leave the lid off for a long while to let my coffee cool so I can drink it! It’s withstood my first drop like a champ. A few dings and a couple of marks, but you wouldn’t be able to tell unless you were looking for it. Overall, it’s a fantastic mug, and one I’ll keep around until I find one that’s plastic-free. But if you’re looking for something plastic-free, keep looking.

You should pass on this. Although billed as "ceramic lined" it's actually some white plastic coating with a vertical seam. It imparts a faint plasticky taste - and it seeps some sort of thin oily coating. Extremely disappointing.
