Great Knife!!
I recently purchased and I am thoroughly impressed with its quality and performance. This knife truly stands out with its unique tri-edge blade design and impeccable craftsmanship. I highly recommend it for its outstanding build quality, sharpness, and overall performance!

Very solid but poor quality
It's a very solid piece. Nice to look at and quite heavy. There's a flaw in the tip of the knife in the damascus pattern. The sheath is adequate to hold it but uneven and of average quality.

A pretty cool Khyber Pass Damascus curiosity
As other Pakistani “Damascus” knives (using the term very loosely in this case) sold on Amazon, this one came in a rough, undyed, stapled together cardboard box. The “knife” and the sheath came wrapped in layers of plastic wrap soaked in toxic smelling preservative. Disposable gloves are highly recommended when unpacking, as well as cleaning the knife with a good degreaser before giving it a light coat of oil (to keep it from corroding). All of this makes such knives problematic as gift to an average person, at least if you want to present the gift in original packaging. However, this “knife” was more neatly packed and less messy than the ones I’ve dealt with in the past.I had to trash some Pakistani Damascus knives in my past reviews for shoddy craftsmanship, defects, and oversights (like poor sharpening). Luckily, this “knife” ended up having a good fit, finish, overall presentation and craftmanship. It’s not amazing or anything but looks and feels solid and is quite attractive and distinct with its Damascus steel patterning. It is a pretty big and heavy steel spike with a sharp “corkscrew” “business end” and a smooth handle end that has some ergonomic lines and attractive brass rings. The leather sheath is actually nicely put together, attractive and robust (it would have to be) too.Is this really a “knife” or even a reasonable self-defense tool? Well… not really. It’s definitely not going to cut anything or even reliably slice. Despite of what’s advertised the “edges” are barely sharp and would be extremely difficult to get to that point. Even as a piercing tool, the “tri edge” “corkscrew” “blade” is far less than ideal. Such a blade actually makes piercing stuff harder, and the smooth metal handle end also makes the proposition quite risky (for your fingers and palm). Can this thing be used as a last-ditch self-defense tool? Sure. Ultimately, it is rather intimidating, will pierce and is heavy enough to bludgeon with. However, there is a nearly infinite number of more practical choices available for this money or less. For instance, there are tons of decent Chinese made full tang hunting/survival knives available at this price on Amazon.Overall, this thing is a neat curiosity that you can use as a desk decoration, fidget with, and show off to your buddies. It is reasonably well-made, attractive, distinctive looking and works on that level. However, I am taking a star off for the rather ridiculous and ultimately deceptive product listing/description text, which repeatedly claims that this is a practical and versatile cutting and slicing tool. It's not!
