This is extremely helpful to determine what size flange you need. It simplifies the process and even offers a way to sample if you feel like you are in between sizes. I have gifted this to many people for baby showers! As a first time mom, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing and this saved me a lot of trips to a lactation consultant (and saved me the pain of having an incorrect size!).
