TL;DR - Best dye I've used, worth the price. Fades beautifully, curl friendly, smells good.I've been dying my 3b curls at home for around 10 years. I've tried many different dyes, Splat, Crazy Colour, La Riche, Manic Panic, Adore, you name it so I was looking for something new to try as a treat and this dye fulfilled. I bought this dye based on the reviews but didn't see any curly ones so here's mine. I have naturally black hair, I used 20 vol bleach to lift then admittedly as I was lazy I dyed it later that same day.My day 1 result is pictured in sunlight. The dye was a very thick paste texture, felt and smelt amazing. My whole head used about 2/3 of the 8oz bottle. My hair got pretty light and on the first application the colour was super vibrant though I could see the brassiness from the bleach underneath it a little bit.The next picture (with phone in) is the colour about 3 weeks faded, I wash my hair in lukewarm water and I do a wash day about once a week. As you can see, it barely faded in comparison to other pink dyes I've used! I'm not gentle with my wash either I scrub thoroughly and I did notice more fading near the scalp as a result but that's normal. The top down bathroom lighting does make it still look very bright (because it was) but you can see its a bit less saturated near the ends than in the first picture, I found the fading to be even and still vibrant just less saturated.The third picture (white background) is indoor daylight after I just topped up the dye with the rest of the pack. My hair is still slightly wet but the colour is completely even and super bright! It looks even better than day 1 to me but that's my fault for dying the same day I bleached. For this round I mixed some of the dye with my leave in conditioner (Shea Moisture castor oil one) and made a hair mask with it and then topped it up with the raw dye on top and it went perfect. Its plenty hydrating on its own, especially if your hair isn't bleached but I needed some extra and the dye looked super consistent when mixed with conditioner rather than getting all bitty which other dyes have done for me in past.Overall, I think this dye is super worth the money. I didn't need to top up when I did (4 weeks in) but I wanted to be fresh for events coming up, if it weren't for that I would have felt comfortable not topping up for at least another 3 weeks. It fades better than any other dye I have ever used and a little went a long way for my thick hair which justifies the cost for me personally! I love that works on its own or mixed with conditioner and it has a really pleasant but not overpowering scent. It also reacts under blacklight which is so cool! I also didn't really have any issues with staining just following basic hair dye standards
