Good product
Great for ripping dvds.Little slower than my other dvd drive. But works perfect. Installed easy. Windows 11 picked it up immediately.

Very inexpensive and works!
The old Lite-On branded DVD writer in my desktop computer failed (they do indeed fail and don't last forever), so purchased this as a cheap replacement. What I received was another used Lite-On drive dated 2015 and a very short 7" SATA cable. Note, you don't get any software or even mounting screws, but I reused the screws from my old drive. I don't know how long these used drives will last, but so far this is working out perfectly for my situation.

Died after couple of weeks
It worked fine when i first installed it. a couple of weeks later, the tray will not open. i have requested a replacement. i will modify this review if that works out. Also, it did not come mounting screws. i had a quite a time finding one from my old discarded hard drives.

Perfect fit for my new HP
This optical drive fits perfectly in my HP Slimline computer. It would be much better if it included the latching module too. I had to order mine from E-bay. The optical drive works very well for regular use, but not great for gaming. Thankfully I am not a big gamer!

Economical replacement
Perfectly replaces my failed drive on an older HP laptop. The price was perfect.After swapping the rear tab and tray face with the bad drive, it is perfect.

Worked. But some foot issues
Bought this to install into an HP pavilion. Just replaced the bottom of the case as well. There was some interference between the cd player cover and the case. Wound up machining the cover down on top and bottom and voila! Not sure whether the interference was against the top or bottom as I machined both. Could also have been the replacement bottom piece. Working now.
