Yes they have filters, which are washable and spares available too

Hi. No temp control on this device, just a choice between singe or dual fan settings. No idea what temp it goes to but mine doesn't burn my hand if I hold it in front of the blower, if that helps. Don't believe there is a heating element in the device, think it just uses the heat created from the motors running

Q: Are the fittings for the end of the hose soft rubber or hard plastic ?

they are plastic. I've sold lot's of these and not had any problems at all.
