Q: First time using my hands slip in downward dog. Will wiping with vinegar stop the slip?

Yes, vinegar is good for cleaning. The only time I had slipping issues was when I used hand lotion before my workout.

Q: Is the the top of the mat slippery? Some posts state that their hands slip.

It’s not slippery but their is no tackiness to prevent slipping. I’ve had issues with my hands slipping. Using some chalk or even deodorant on my hands helps to prevent the slipping.
