I Was Confused
The product seems to be fine. I'll be cutting the dried fruit into much smaller pieces since my conure doesn't need the bite-size-for-humans portions. There are whole brazil nuts in the mix.The confusion: My order shipped from a large retail pet store chain, which was quite confusing for me when UPS sent me a shipping update naming the store as shipper. There is NO mention of this retail chain in the description so I checked with the chain to see what they were sending me via UPS and they didn't know. Surprise! The price is the same both places.

MyConure Loves Papaya, But He Doesn’t Like This
The bird treats are beautiful: large juicy chunks of papaya, flakes of coconut and nuts. This is very high quality, but my bird is like me, apparently. He hates coconut, and it all smells like coconut. When you open the bag, it has an almost overwhelmingly coconut smell, and my little guy will have nothing to do with it. I tried cutting the papaya and nuts into smaller chunks, but he screamed and threw it down. I think that larger parrots would probably love this stuff, and their large beaks would make short work of it. With conures, it’s pure chance if they like it or not. My bird eats papaya and he likes pieces of nuts, and he has even eaten coconut milk yogurt on occasion, but he doesn’t like the combination, and he especially doesn’t like the coconut flakes or the smell of coconut. I bought this because someone else said their conure loves it. I think a lot of conures would find the big chunks offputting, and it clearly says large bird treats. I gambled and lost! After this I am just buying the little bags of diced papaya for my little guy. This is a good mix, but I don’t recommend it for smaller birds. I’m putting it out for the bigger, wild birds. We live in the country near a wooded area and we get a variety of wildlife. They might like this.
