I find it much easier to compose now that I can fit 16 bars to a line, it makes planning forms much easier for me. I do put the clefs etc on the blank space prior to the line otherwise each bar would be slightly too compact, although it is still a little too compact for writing semiquaver runs etc. In these cases I instead write 12 bars to a line, 3cm wide, which I can see still being too compact for some people. I do wish that "non-standard" sized paper was available rather than sticking to the A3/4 size hegemony. Paper with 20 staves, each 50cm long would be the dream for me!

Excellent for what I need: good staff size; lovely quality paper; responds well to both pencil & ink; good amount of space in the margins for labelling/organisation. It works well for me that it's single-sided as I like being able to see everything at once, but this obviously means you get through it twice as fast, less good for the environment, and may not be ideal for everyone. Pad also holds up well despite lots of wear & tear - cardboard backing helps a lot.

Used to buy this in London Bond Street. The best manuscript for Classical composers that still write by hand :)

This paper is my bread and butter. Get through piles of it. Started off using the Panopus landscape pads years ago, then it was taken over by Music Exchange. I bought a bulk order at about £9 per pad a year ago, plus postage, from a music-shop direct. This time I thought to look and check out Amazon. Glad I did. The resulting pads arrived this morning and they're good. Landscape (as noted previously in reviews here), and good quality. The lines are blacker than the Music Exchange pads I've been using, and probably therefore easier on the eyes. I only use pencil so don't know what they'd be like with ink. So it's a big recommendation, if, like me, you know this is what you want but not sure if it's like you're used to. And a great price. Years since I've bought one at £6 a pad.
