If you enjoy the practice of using cacao and making a fanciful drink- this is for you! I like making gourmet drinks after the kids are in bed and this was no exception - it was a cool experience and one my Huss fans I both really enjoyed! Decaf coffee was divine with this (since we did it at night) and intend to find a slow morning to do it again! Great taste and fun to cut this up and make it!

I have tried a few cacao blocks and this one is consistently fresh and flavorful. Value for money? Up to you to decide.

I always see 70% and 80% chocolate out there and it’s usually a bit bitter and somewhat not as great as normal chocolate but I wanted to try 100% cocoa since i had never seen that before. Well let me say that it will be the last time I try it. I wasn’t aware that you use it for making other things. I thought you just eat it like chocolate but I will never do that again.

I’m a big chocoholic and I eat primarily dark chocolate because I am allergic to dairy. I let me tell you, this makes some AMAZING hot chocolate! It is so rich and smooth! A nice hint of fruity flavor and aroma that South American chocolate has! Even though it’s unsweetened I could eat it plain lol! Big fan! Will say it was hard to sleep after drinking (I drank some around 8pm), so it definitely seems to give energy! I love that it has health benefits as well!

Very fresh, delicious and smooth cacao. It does have the usual bitterness of cacao but not overwhelming at all. I don't mind it being unsweetened - just means you can use it in more ways. You get two very hefty bars wrapped tight in foil and comes in a box with more info on what you can use this for if you're clueless on what they mean by 'ceremonial'.

The benefit of having these simple cocoa bars without added ingredients is that you can make of them what you will: Drink it straight for a strong, somewhat bitter brew, or add some sweetener and milk to your liking for something more along the lines of dark hot chocolate.The bars are not soft like candy bars so I found them easy to chop into small bits for melting, or you can shave/peel them with a vegetable peeler. The chocolate melted well in hot water, leaving just a few undissolved "grounds."

The quality of this cocoa is great. It melts in hot water and the taste is delightful.
