Maglite Boxed 3D Cell Flashlight Black

Best torch I have ever bought! Really sturdy. Have dropped a couple of times and it was fine. Good weight, nice to hold and really bright. Great for walking my dog at night, feel safer as its a bit of a weapon too!

This is my 2nd maglite of this size and the 1st one lasted more than 20 years. It's actually still going but I managed to lose the rubber switch grommet and that is the Only reason for its "retirement". I purchased a 3rd party LED conversion kit which simply replaces the existing bulb. This is an absolute no brainer. 👍

The Maglite 3D torch gives a very satisfying feel, due to its 12" length and wide diameter, knurled barrel, solid build, and hefty half-kilo weight. It is made from anodised aluminium which makes it strong and resistant to corrosion. The torch comes with a bulb fitted, and a spare in the end cap. The end cap unscrews to allow you to insert the batteries, and rubber O-rings are used to keep moisture out.The front end twists to change the focus of the beam, as with virtually all cylinder Maglites. They describe this as being from "spot" to "flood", but calling the wide beam "flood" is a massive exaggeration. The wide beam also suffers from the classic "dark spot" - a shadow cast by the incandescent bulb. If even light is important to you, buy a multibulb or LED torch. The Maglite is good enough for most jobs but even with the supplied bulb and new, decent batteries the light quality is poor enough to lose one star.The switch is a rubber covered push-click type contact, which can be on or off, or half pressed for intermittent signalling.This is by no means the best torch I have ever seen, but it is suitable for most situations I find myself in. And it can sure take a beating!Whatever you do, DO NOT attempt to use Uniross D Converters for this torch - it simply doesn't work. The contact in the bottom of the torch is a spring and the smallest loop of that spring is bigger than the contact on the foot of an AA battery. There is not enough space to use a coin as a contact plate. Use real D-sized batteries instead, such as Duracell Plus.

Great torch just what i needed. But as other reviews have said no batteries included, and it does state in the description batteries are included which is one reason I purchased it in the first place. I don't suppose anybody from Amazon reads these reviews so probably nothing will be done about it. If an item is stated as something is included then where are the included items?

Product from USA. Had one many years ago which unfortunately got lost over the years. Still excellent quality. Supplier however difficult to deal with. Customer service almost non-existent, doubtful if I would ever deal with this company again. Having seen previous ratings surprised Amazon still have them on their lists.

I purchased this item for my dad for Christmas. Maglite torches are always great quality and this was excellent value for money also. I don't think it makes a lot of difference if you have LED or not. LED is brighter, but there's really not a lot in it.

This turns out to be a standered torch as where i was expecting a little more after reading some reviews and paying more than value for a plain dull brightness and not very good flood capabilities.It`s used in 6:30 a.m winter light levels for dog walking in an unlit park and is only just up-to the task of keeping a track of them.Build quality looks and feels very good so wouldn`t call it a waste of money compared to a cheaper product but will not be buying Maglite torches in the future.

Excellent heavy duty torch Battery life not brilliant but LED bulb would be better but more expensive. Warning this is a replacement because I left the batteries in the original, they corroded and got stuck.

This serves two purposes. First, strong light goes the distance, (the only fault is it has a dark spot in the middle of the projected beam). Secondly, it is heavy enough and long enough to also be used, if necessary, as a self defense weapon. Perfect for my emergency earthquake kit!

La uso para fotografía nocturna. Tengo varias linternas pero esta la uso en el 99 % de las ocasiones porque es fácilmente transportable, ilumina bastante bien objetos cercanos e incluso, su potente chorro de luz, me permite iluminar escenas a cierta distancia (del orden de 20 metros o más). Dado que la luz es cálida (anaranjada) me permite utilizar balances de blancos fríos para que el cielo me salga azul y la escena tenga una iluminación natural. Considero que es una linterna imprescindible para todos los que practiquen la fotografía nocturna.

Habe die "Schwester-Taschenlampe" vor 20 Jahren gekauft und hatte nie Probleme. Sicher ist diese Firma etwas teurer als andere Firmen, aber die Taschenlampe ist bei mir, trotz regelmäßigem Einsatz, absolut zuverlässig und durch die Technik und ihr Gewicht beeindruckend. Als ich einmal einen neuen Gummiüberzug für den Druckknopf benötigte (mein Neffe hatte ihn mit einer Schere bearbeitet, wie kleine Kinder so sind!), hat mir die Deutschland-Vertretung in Wi, sofort nach einer Email den Ersatz kostenlos zuschicken wollen!! In meiner Bekanntschaft hat MagLite auch einen sehr guten ruf. Ich habe mir aber das "Nachrüstbirnchen mit LED" für beide Taschenlampen gekauft. Jetzt wirkt die Taschenlampe wie ein Scheinwerfer, einfach unglaublich! Da ich mir nur MagLite Taschenlampen kaufe (Ich habe bis auf die 6D Stablampe, alle Taschenlampen in allen Größen und hatte nur bei einer Mini-Taschenlampe Pech, da der Kontakt defekt war.) , kann ich nicht für andere Firmen sprechen, aber wenn man sein Optimum gefunden hat, warum sollte ich dann ein "running system" wechseln? Wenn ich zum Beispiel nachts Sterne Photographiere, dann leuchte ich mit meiner MagLite die Feldwege auf einer Länge von 300m ab (bei Punkteinstellung). Die Nachrüst-Zubehör (Warnaufsätze und Farbgläser, sind für unter 10 Euro zu erhalten.Hier versucht man also nicht zwanghaft, im Übermaße, Geld aus dem Kunden zu holen) Ich gebe es zu, ich bin ein echter MagLite-Fan! Aber aus Überzeugung durch die Praxis erst geworden.
