Hyundai20"/51cm 196cc Electric-start Self-propelled Petrol Lawnmower, 6 Cutting Heights, Large 70l Grass Collector, Foldable Handles, 3 Year Warranty

I recently bought this mower to replace one which cost half as much again 5 years ago. This one has more features including variable drive speed and electric start.My initial impressions are very favourable after perhaps a total of half an acre mown. It has bags of power for longer grass, drives forward positively and discharges well from my preferred method of usage namely side discharge.The mower came well packaged in a box with a bottle of engine oil included. Assembly was the work of a couple of minutes having watched the Youtube set up video I found online. There were a couple of nice upgrades since Hyundai created the video, namely star nuts to hand tighten instead of plain metal nuts that would require a spanner and there was a spare electric start button along with the ubiquitous spark plug spanner.This mower is heavy, I believe somewhere in the region of 40Kgs, 90lbs. However, the handles are perhaps 20 cm/8inches longer than my previous mower and the extra leverage negates the weight increase. For an average guy of average build it is no great effort to manoeuvre it around obstacles or corners.The wheels are larger than those on 'normal' mowers making pushing a stopped mower over gravel a little easier than I expected.The mower lifts both front and rear mowing height by the use of one lever, which is very convenient and quick though needing a little effort to lift the mowers weight.The mower started almost instantly after assembly and fluids were added.Things I like...it's a robust powerful beast of a mower for medium to large lawns. Ease of assembly and a Google search revealed wear parts were readily available and reasonably priced.My only gripe to date...I wish the plastic front piece that looks like a lifting handle was rolled steel rather than plastic as the mower is really a two man lift and it is somewhat lightweight for the job.That's it folks, it's a big pokey mower for decent sized lawns at a great price for the features.P.s. the two wee plastic rectangles it comes with are for inserting inside the rear flap if you want rear discharge after you remove the mulching/side discharge bung to keep the flap open a little.I've no affiliation to Hyundai or Amazon, I'm just a guy with a couple of large lawns in Scotland. This is my 2nd Hyundai petrol mower, last ne lasted 7 years without any issues, hence no issue buying a larger model.Easy to assemble and started 1st time.Engine has the correct amount of power to handle a larger lawnWalking speed control and engine speed control is a nice function to help with longer grass heights.Nice big grass collection ba means less emptyingAll round nice mower

I ordered this to replace my old Hyundai SP51000. It was really easy to assemble but beware this is very heavy and I’d suggest only suitable for medium or large lawns. I’ve used it twice and I’m very happy with it so far. It’s big, so it gets through a large lawn really quickly. The self propel worked really well and I really like the 4 different speeds, that’s really useful for different size lawns. If you’re wondering about whether to pay extra for the electric start, do it, it’s worth every penny. The grass collector is a little fiddly to line up but it collects really well and takes in a lot of grass before it needs emptying. Overall, very happy, just hope it is robust because I will be using it a lot for personal and a bit of light, but frequent, commercial use. So far, 5/5, but with fingers crossed.

Ordered this to maintain our large lawn. It arrived promptly and was simple to put together. The wrong size grass collection basket was supplied in the box. Amazon support connected me with Hyundai who had a replacement to me within a few days. Annoying but well managed on their part.First Impressions: The mower is an absolute unit. It weighs every kilo listed in the spec.Electric Start: What a luxury. So far, it's workied consistently and made cutting the grass less than a chore. I do wish the battery was removable to make it easier to charge. But that's largely because I dont have power in my shed.Self Drive - I doubted weather I needed this function before I ordered. I considered it something else to go wrong. In hindsight, it's a nescesity for a mower of this size and weight. The drive is is either on or off. Even though it has 4 drive speeds, it does take a bit of getting used to if you've not used a self propelled mower before.Final Thoughts: I recomend this mower. It's a bit of a brute and not as versatile than the smaller model. But I don't doubt it's robust build, power and reliability.
