My favorite protectant moisturizer. My skin gets really dehydrated throughout the day and this helps with those dry patches and works well under makeup.

I am getting my skincare regimen lined up prior to starting Accutane. This balm was a no-brainer, as it works very well to heal dry & sensitized skin, day or night.My sensitive combo acne-prone skin has never had complaints about this one, though sometimes this balm needs to be applied on top of moisturizer when things are very dry — “slugging lite”, if you will, or a soothing, healing overnight mask.I have a few tubes of their 5-Panthensoside from a year or two ago to compare this to. I honestly can’t tell any difference in consistency between those and this version with the redesigned package. The 5-Panthensoside vs 10-Panthensoside just refers to the % of panthenol in the product, and the ingredients have not changed between their last iteration 10-Panthensoside balm & this one.The ingredients are stellar, and like much of this Soon Jung line, wonderfully simple & packed with “goodies” (screenshots attached from INCIDecoder.com’s ingredient analysis). It’s very unlikely to cause irritation or clog pores, even for those with the most sensitive skin.The consistency is lovely, smoothing on & melting into skin super easily; feels effectively protective, soothing, and hydrating, and does not sting sensitized skin. Although it’s a balm, it’s not thick, sticky, difficult to spread, or at risk of leaving a face print on your pillow.My only complaint is that the price has gone up a bit, but I haven’t found anything else like this on the market, so I’ll continue to purchase it at $25 (ideally the bottles should be a little bigger at this price, though — it’s so versatile that it’s easy to use up quickly).
