Just picked up a variety of mixed fruits for quick snacks during work. They're great for a busy schedule, taste natural, and the lime is surprisingly good in a gin and tonic after work. I got the mixed fruit. Overall, it is a decent product. Strawberries are whole and to me the best tasting. Warning to anyone with dentures, they stick like glue to dentures and has to be scrubbed off. The apples are good but has an aftertaste. The apricots are sliced taste nasty and old. The Limes and Oranges are sliced with rinds on, and they shred into paper like pieces easily. The oranges taste alright, but the limes mostly tasted like the rind. I fell the price is too high for what we get, and I do not believe I will get this product again.

I'm disappointed I can't get my money back on these. Only the strawberries are freeze dried properly, all the other ones are hard as a rock and inedible. What a let down. Even though the strawberries are edible they were left whole so it's not easy for kids to eat.

This is a pretty good assortment of fruits but just has a small taste of the original fruit flavor and the texture is not to my liking.This freeze-dried fruit is like they advertised as crunchy, it is very crunchy and really hard in spots, so if you have bad teeth or weak teeth, I do not recommend.It says you get 5 servings per bag, not sure how that is accomplished out of a 1.76oz bag but then again you probably are not going to eat many at a time as I can't.The nutrient's showing on the bag for a serving are only a super small fraction of the real product.I am sorry but I am just disappointed in the flavor and the hard texture and for the price range for just 9.5ozs for this type of quality is just way too much in my opinion.The apple and orange taste the way they look.

I became interested in these because the on-line description stated: "Long-Term Food Security : Prepare for any contingency with our freeze-dried Fruits, boasting a remarkable 25-year shelf life." We keep an emergency food supply of long shelf life products so, based on the description, these fit the bill. Unfortunately, the package arrived with the buy before date (B.B.D. in the photo), and no info in the packaging that said otherwise. Now about the taste, the fruit is crunchy and makes a nice healthy snack of "100% fruit." The taste varies from sweet apple, strawberry and apricot, to tart orange, to bitter lime (who eats limes anyways?).

These are fantastic, the flavors are so intense and you get a lot of variety. My kids can't put these down, if I'm not careful, they could devour a whole bag in one sitting. I've had dried fruits before, but freeze dried is definitely a whole different ball game. A great healthy snack right here. You get a fair amount of fruit as well, which is really nice. It is a little on the pricey side, but not too much different from what I'm used to seeing at stores. Slightly smaller than average fruit size for obvious reasons and the whole fruit, but added a AA battery if needed for scale. My only complaints are that it can be pretty dusty when you open it and some bags were really difficult to open. But the fruit dust is unavoidable and a pair of scissors took care of the more difficult bags. Watch out for the lime and orange, almost painfully intense!

It is a new sensation with the rind. Now the lime . . . just don't do it. Just grind those babies up and put them directly in a recipe, lol. Seriously though, the lime is very bitter and also sucks up all the moisture in your mouth. It actually is worth trying one for the experience.
