what's the difference between this and the black version? I can't tell them apart from the ingredients

The Black version includes a Pork broth packet that defines it's much better flavor. Better flavor and vegetables. Reduce the heat by adding only 1/2 the red packet. Add in some more fresh or dehydrated veggies direct from Amazon and viola you've got some serious soup. I toss everything in a 6 cup rice cooker and hit Go. Within 10-12 minutes you're ready to eat and only 1 dish to clean since you can scarff right out of the rice cooker insert. Been making 50+ meal types with a Oster rice cooker while Trucking nationwide for over a decade.

How many mg of sodium are in each serving?

920mg per serving. There are 2 servings per pack.

Why is it over double the price for 4 more packs? Im just saying if a 20 pack is 16.23 and a 24 pack is 39.95. why is the price so different?

The prices jump constantly. I often check and find that the 20-pack is $40, then check a few days later and it's back to $20. Fun with Amazon sellers messing with people using the "buy it again" button.
