High torque. Teasing throttle. Great for driving large screws.
This is a high quality, high torque drill, with a teasing throttle. This allows you to start slowly, then increase the speed. This drill is great for driving 4" stainless deck screws, without needing to worry about overheating the motor, like on the electric drills / drivers I used before. Need to drive 1000 screws, no need to worry, just drive away. Way more expensive than it's Chinese counter part, but this will definitely last, unlike the discount tool store counterpart, which died after one week. There are also spare parts available for this drill if ever needed.

Powerful industrial-grade drill
First impressions of this drill are very good. As a welder/fabricator, I've been using it for drilling through mild and hardened steel with twist bits and hole saws. I originally purchased the CP 9789 and found that it didn't have enough torque for many steel drilling applications. Furthermore, the trigger on that drill was pretty much on/off, and on is 800 RPM. This one is made in Japan, has a decent keyed Jacobs chuck, good trigger, and is comfortable to use. It's much more robust and resistant to stalling out during standard drilling operations. My only complaint so far is the side handle. It requires an allen key to tighten and it seems like you have to remove the chuck to get the collar off. Note: the drill shipped with the chuck detached. You will need a torx T25 for the LH retaining screw. Spindle thread is 3/8-24.
