Works well - can cut all hedges and handles thicker stems. Its lightweight makes it easy to use for higher areas or even on a ladder. It's quieter but not as powerful as my Bosch corded trimmer but it's lightweight and lack of a cord easily compensates.

Used fir first time today to tidy up a scruffy hedge. Pros - cordless so no worries about cables and sockets. Long blade - cuts a better line along side and tops. Lightweight so easier to handle for lengthy periods. Half the price of similar models. Cons - can't judge yet but lightweight may mean less robust in time. Last one lasted 20 years and cost more then than thus one now, but eventually plastic handle split. Will this last a long time? Motor not as powerful so doesn't cut as quickly it thickly as previous one. Overall excellent prout for the money and cuts hedges easily. Glad I bought it.

Bought to replace an old Ryobi corded trimmer that was heavy, noisy and vibrated badly in use.This Garden Gear trimmer ticked all the boxes and is a joy to use by comparison.The build quality is adequate, not as robust as the Ryobi but so much lighter and more convenient.Out of the box the battery indicator showed a full charge but only lasted for about 20 minutes, hopefully this will improve after a few charging cycles - as is the case with most batteries!The battery does appear to be the weak point here, as many reviewers have stated, because it's only 1300mAh - I have AA rechargeables with more capacity than that (although of course the voltage is completely different)!The motor is rated at 1.3A and so the battery, theoretically, should give around an hour's use but I think that's unlikely.The charger output is 0.35A (350mA) - so you're looking at nearly 4 hours for a full charge.Personally I'd take the reading from the LED indicators with a pinch of salt, and give it much more.On the positive side, the quality of trim is excellent and if you're at all cautious about using any type of power tool, the cutting action is effective but quite gentle.The machine is light, highly maneuverable, quiet and gentle enough not to jarr your arms - which I found particularly tiring with the Ryobi.To conclude, it's a capable machine that with just one battery, is only really suited to smaller hedges but nevertheless represents pretty good value for money - you can pay as much just for a battery elsewhere!Update: after a couple of uses and charging cycles, I'm now getting at least 40 minutes running time with power to spare.My advice would now be to charge the battery for an hour or so before the first use.

Very good product. I am only 5ft tall and find hedge trimming difficult usually. Purchased these as they are lightweight and had a great day hedge trimming. Easy to put together, even easier to use. The handle can be swivelled to make handling even more easy. I have a large garden surrounded by hedges (privet, holly and box) and these coped well and the battery life was excellent. Highly recommended.

Bought June 2022 -- hedge trimmer is excellent.July 9th 2023 Charger has just failed ! Can only have used it 3/4 times in 2022 and once in 2023.OUTSIDE the 12 month warrnty by about 19 DaysGuess who didn't buy the additional warranty. Just be aware!!!!

Bought this as a present for my husband as we have quite a big hedge and the old trimmer had seen better days Did the job perfectly in half the time as the machine is light and easy to use Thought I would have a go and trimmed my box bushes in no time so carried on with others Will strongly recommend this product due to it being light and easy to use and battery life lasts long enough for a decent hedge and beyond

I brought this for my elderly Father who likes to do a bit of gardening (but not too much!). He says its a fantastic piece of kit. Lightweight, easy to use, cuts brilliantly. Battery lasts well and just long enough to allow time to have a tea break and a sandwich (any excuse!) between charges.

Just received and tried out yesterday having bought it after being satisfied reading the majority of positive reviews on this hedge trimmer. My partner had great fun using it to lop off the top branches of a couple of trees in our back garden. It had no trouble cutting through them. It's also not as noisy as some hedge trimmers. Was pleasantly surprised to see that the battery appeared to be fully charged when I unpacked it, so was able to use straight away. I like the fact there are battery charge indicator lights when you press the "on" button but design would be better if the lights stayed on as you use the product, but that's a small point. I also used it and found it easy to use, lightweight and it's a massive improvement on our previous hedge trimmer, which was unwieldy and not cordless. The fact that this is cordless is a massive advantage. You can also rotate it for different angles which may be useful. So far used it for about 20 minutes which was all we needed in our garden and there was still charge left. Next job, front hedge tomorrow.
