Easy setup, works great!
I needed this, and wish I had bought it years ago! I have a 70's home with a sunken patio. Over the years, I have had to use a Shop Vac Pump vac to drain standing water when the rain blows. I decided there must be a better way, and this is it! It pumps fast!

Value quality ease of use
This pump has been great for the value. I use this to keep the water off my pool cover in the fall and spring. Very quiet and easy to use

Powerful , large and heavy.
I bought this as a backup pump to use temporarily since it was one day shipping ,I bought a more expensive pump to use permanently but had to wait a couple weeks for it to arrive. It pumps a ton of water really fast. It's built like a tank however the impeller is plastic so that was the weak point on the pump I was replacing so I didn't leave this one in there permanently.

Clogs VERY easily and stops working. Company completely unresponsive for support. Warranty a joke.
Updated review, a year later (April, 2024). I would absolutely NOT recommend this pump, or frankly anything from this company. I've used the pump several times, and it keeps clogging (conveniently after my Amazon return window closed). The impeller appears to have a very low tolerance for debris. This is marketed as something to use with ponds; don't waste your money. I say stay away from the company because I've been reaching out to them for many months. Their support website doesn't work. Their phone number goes to a full mailbox. They haven't responded to a single email I've sent.I tried to repair it myself (I'm quite handy) but was unsuccessful. And for "fun", there are some very proprietary screws (only in SOME places) holding the thing together. All of this is a real shame, because as you'll see from my original review, when this thing was working, it was simply amazing. I'm really disappointed.ORIGINAL REVIEW from 2023: Headline: Drained my 1000 gal pond in under 30 min! Super quiet, great handle, connections, really perfect. - I do a spring clean-out of my 1000 gallon koi pond every spring. I remove the fish, drain the pond and then do cleanup before re-filling. I previously used my big shop-vac to empty the pond, which took me ALL DAY. Ugh. But with this pump - it literally took me THIRTY MINUTES to drain my pond, combined with a 1.5 inch flat hose (with built-in connections, link below, if Amazon lets me do that). Honestly, it would have been even faster, but I would pause to catch fish I missed, etc. It took me 15 minutes from the time I opened the box to water flowing. Crazy. The handle is wonderful. The noise level is ridiculously low. We had music playing when we started this project, we never even turned up the volume. I wish I would have purchased this years ago. I cannot speak to the long-term quality, as I'll be using this literally once a year, but I do feel like it's made well for the money. The folks that installed our pond recommended a $700 pump like this. Nope. This one worked great. (Hoping that I've injected enough search words that pond people like me will find this)Speaking of which- for pond drainage - I got 95.43% of the way through before it got clogged with "bottom of the pond" garg. I'm not removing a star for this, because the pump was awesome. A couple of Philip's head screws on the bottom to pop it open and remove the junk, and you're good. The impellers are plastic, but for use like mine, not a big deal. My clogs took me just a few minutes to fix. (in my case, it was a little collection of small pebbles). Actually, I was really impressed that it took that long to get clogged with my process given how mirky my pond was - typical spring condition).I recommend this particular hose - because it has a 1.5" *threaded* end, and the "default" port on the pump is indeed a 1.5" *threaded* end. The pump includes some great adapters for smaller hoses, but if you use this system once a year like me, the larger flat hose with the connections built-in is the way to go.The instructions are good. You can trim the float length, but because I'm going to use this so infrequently, I don't need to. I literally held the float up above the water level to start/stop, because I was carefully monitoring to make sure I didn't catch a hiding fish! Really - this process went so fast, I didn't want anything "automatic". I just held the float and toggled it on/off. Perfect. Here's the hose - which I highly recommend!https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09FJYR251?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

Great pump
Powerful little pump. I use it in a 5 gallon bucket to pump cleaner in my tankless water heater to clean the internals. Looks well built and the cord was a pretty good length keeping me from having to use an extension cord.
