Absolutely brilliant, I wish I had known about these before.
The media could not be loaded. As usual, the package arrived very quickly from Amazon. This Gocoffun 20cm Stainless Steel Heat Diffuser Plate Adapter for Moka Pots arrived in a sturdy cardboard box; also inside the box is an Information Leaflet.I ordered this as we use a Moka pots for making our espresso every morning, the large pot sits on our pan support well, the medium one just fits, but if you knock it the slightest, it will fall over, but the smallest one doesn’t fit on the pan support at all, it sits on the burner cap (see my photos), which means we don’t it, until now that is.This Gocoffun heat diffuser plate is absolutely brilliant, not only does it mean we can use the smallest of our Moka pots, and not worry about the medium one falling over, but if you take a look at one of my photos, you can see I can get all 3 pots on at the same time, and they are really stable, which is great if you have lots of people coming round and they all want espressos. Also, as you can see in my video, I weighed the diffuser plate as when I took it out of the box as it felt it was quite heavy, it weighs 530grms, which to me feels reassuring as it means it is robust and should last a long time.Another plus point is that we are thinking of purchasing an induction hob, and our pots will not have work with them, but they will using this heat diffuser plate.I could go through everything that’s in the listing description but I’m sure you have already read it before reading my review, so I won’t repeat it, you can see the unboxing in my video, this is just my personal experience with it.At the time of writing this review the price is £22.97, but at the moment there is a 8% discount voucher bringing the price down to £21.13, which seems to be the average price for these diffuser plates. The squares on the table I use when photographing and videoing are there so you can use them to help you judge the size of items I photograph or video, the small are 1cm square and the larger ones are 5cm.I hope you have found this review, photos and video helpful.

A necessary evil. Does what its says, but just buy a set of induction pots and pans instead
I have an induction stove (which is great) and some pans do not work on it as they do not have a ferrous base material to induce heat into, hence the diffuser plates are necessary to make them work.I've got 4 already, which we refer to as the starship enterprise, since they look the same as the NCC-1701. The problem with these units is that they are slow because of how they work.Generally these are a compromise since they take a fancy new induction hob, an incompatible non-inductive saucepan from your last house, you stick it on a plate such as this one, the cooker heats the induction plate and the plate inefficiently heats the saucepan and the saucepan heats the food and everyone is happy eventually. The Chef though will be unhappy as everything is just too slow. These items are no good for things such as Wok's and other similar high heat cooking pots and pans. The problem with these adapters is that they are very slow to put heat into what you are cooking as its all got to go via all the intermediate things first, which slows things down, they also loose heat, which means that your pan is never as hot as an ordinary induction compatible pan.If you compare this to an induction compatible pan, its simple, you put the induction pan on the hob, place the food you want to cook in it, hit the button and in seconds its cooking. You also need to consider once you have finished cooking, With a saucepan, you simply wash it it and you are done. With one of these items, you now have a really hot chunk of metal that also needs cooling, cleaning up, and storing somewhere. My advice is therefore to avoid these adapters and just go and buy a decent set of induction hob compatible stainless steel pans (such as ProCook) and save a lot of time, money, frustration and space in your kitchen. Now, having said all of that, I tested this item and unsurprisingly it works exactly the same as all the other ones I've got, these units do seem to heat up a bit quicker than the other ones I have.

Great device for even cooking and stopping small pots and pans from tilting on gas hobs
I ordered this plate diffuser to use on my gas hob to keep my coffeepot warm but also because one of the rings has uneven heating and I was hoping that this would balance that. It's very easy to use and they stress not to use it on the hob without anything on it, although you can also use it, presumably when the hob isn't on, to defrost meat more quickly.I love the idea of it as it's safer than trying to balance a coffeepot (Moka or similar) on my range's gas hob. I also have a small frying pan which kept tipping but this fantastic plate diffuser elimited that risk and the pan stayed put.One slight negative is that diffusing the heat, whilst cooking more evenly, does mean it's not as hot and it takes a little longer to cook, especially scrambled eggs/omelettes but they cook more evenly as a result.4* – It's a great device for more even, safer cooking, especially with small pans, and for stopping coffeepots from tilting. I wish I could award it 4.5*, a slight deduction because it takes a little longer to cook with the heat spread BUT that does mean all the food is cooked at the same time. It also protects the base of pots and pans from being burnt which will extend their life. Everyone needs one

Does exactly what you need
I have a nice Mokka pot and don't want the annodising to be damaged by a naked gas flame. This underneath protects my pot and spreads the heat much better, also allows me to heat the pot at a lower gas setting. Wins all round :)
