Tesa 51036 - PET Fabric Adhesive Tape for Wiring, Abrasion Protection, High Temperatures, Maximum Flexibility, Solvent Free, Perfect for Engine Applications (0.35in x 82ft)

This appears to be as close to factory/OEM as I could find for my 2014 Ford truck in the engine compartment. It's super high quality and has good adhesion. It also works great when wrapping split corrugated tubing or securing the ends of woven nylon mesh tubing. It doesn't flex much so get your wrapped started right for the best results.

I bought this tape out of my frustrations with other types of tapes. I have used a few different types of mending tapes, including the famous fusing tape but after a season or two they melt and extremely Sticky, Gooey stuff ooze out which is extremely difficult to remove. None of them can take the heat from the sun and freezing temps in the winter. I am sure a lot of you have experienced the same problem. Sometimes, I had throw away the item as it was not possible to reuse them. I got very frustrated and began searching for a better tape solve this problem once for all. Lo and behold I happened to see this tape that is meant for auto use and I read that it can withstand extreme heat (I think up to 350 degrees or more?), it does not tear, etc., etc. So, I decided to give it a try. Oh boy! this is a Fantastic tape and I felt so bad that I did not know about it before. I have suffered so much. I guess I’m just adding my voice, a lot of people like this tape. I like it too! Between the fabric and the sticky wrapping wires is a satisfying task instead of a frustration. I’ve got wraps on intricate runs that get a lot of motion and chaffing but the tape just seems to hug harder. Good stuff

I knew it was going to last when I couldn't cut it with my teeth.

Used this to modify a wiring harness for LED lights. Good quality tape.
