These Akkermansia capsules by Fresh Nutrition are my favorite pre+probiotic ever, and I've tried many. I had to learn what Akkermansia Muciniphila was first! Turns out it is a probiotic strain that is prevalent in the microbiomes of healthy adults. It has a host of benefits, and low counts of it have been associated with health problems. This line is excellent because they've included a prebiotic with the probiotic, a formulation that is thankfully becoming more popular. As you introduce the healthy bugs to your gut, you also provide them with something to thrive upon. It's just great science! In any case, I've been taking this daily for nearly a month and can confidently say I feel better mentally, physically and most of all..gastrointestinally! Another great thing about this probiotic is it's just one capsule a day, and as far as capsules go, these rather small. So, it's just a great value all around, and I've already recommended it to several friends at work.

Akkermansia muciniphila Akk11 may help to create a healthy gut lining, but this supplement contains inulin and FOS (fructo-oligosaccharides) as well. They’re included to help grow the probiotic in the gut, but may cause problems for people on a low-FODMAP diet.Fresh Nutrition sells these probiotics in two strengths. The capsule is the same in both cases, the only difference is whether one or two is taken per day.The company website states: “All our supplements are third-party tested, and manufactured in the USA within our own cGMP Facility that is FDA Registered.” No further details about the testing is provided.No bad odors, just a very very slight scent like Elmer’s Glue. The capsules are opaque white, possibly to protect the contents from light? The ingredient label just says “Vegetarian Capsule”, but these are a solid off-white color– they’re not the typical clear/translucent capsules.The bottle had a zip-off plastic shrink seal, a glued-down foil seal, and a bit of cotton inside. There were 30 capsules, as promised, and none were broken. The lot number and expiry date were clearly printed on the bottom. The expiration date is 01/2026, or 21 months from date of delivery.

This seems like a good akkermansia supplement, but I wish there was better research on the exact strain used. The 500M CFU dosage is great, and I like that it also includes a prebiotic. But this is apparently "AK11 strain" - which does not exist in the scientific literature. So you basically just have to place your faith in the product that it's genuine Akkermansia and the real and correct strain that has been studied.Overall - good dosage, but I think I would stick with the clinically studied strain of Akkermansia.

We use more than a couple supplements. It's not always possible to know how well each is working individually when taken with others. Over the years I have learned to use the label and the ad to judge the quality of a supplement. As always, you know your body and your dis ease.The price of $40 for 30 capsules makes this product $1.33 per serving, that is a big hit to most budgets.

I've only been taking it for the one month. I read somewhere that it doesn't really "kick in" until over twice that time. In the one month, however, I have noticed an uptick in my overall energy and I'm sleeping much better. I'm more regular but overall, I can NOT say that life is that much better taking in all the other things I've been doing including exercising more.There's a lot of buzz about these probiotics but I'm thinking you have to be a particular kind of person to really gain the benefit from this.It's certainly well made and packaged. It's made in the USA under inspection, non-GMO, third party tested, etc.I should point out that this variety of Akkermansia Muciniphila has 500M which is considerably higher than what I've seen elsewhere. For that, if this is what you're looking for, then this is the one to get.

I have taken other brands, but these seem to work well for me.As a probiotic specifically made for stomach/digestion, after a few days, my visits to the restroom have become more normalized. I have adjusted my diet as well, adding more fruits/veggies.These are potent. I started with half the dose and increased to the full dose (one tablet) after a week.These do not have any odor and am happy with my purchase, albeit a little pricey.I suggest checking with your physician to see if these are good for your routine.
