Why this is a great replacement for white weather stripping seal.
If you've got white trim on your door, you'll want a white seal to match. The big reason to get this one is that the interior foam portion is also white.Other door seals, and the one I had previously had a white outer veneer over a black foam. Over time, the thin outer layer of the seals can get damaged. The black inside just makes the problem way more obvious.Given the choice, always pick the white interior foam like this one.This one has been working great so far, and I can highly recommend it.

Uses the Kerf system which requires a slot in door frame - does NOT use adhesion
This weather stripping does NOT have an adhesive backing to mount to the door frame but uses the Kerf system in which the hard plastic edge of the weather stripping pushes into a slot in the door jamb (frame). The Kerf system is much better, lasts much longer, does not damage the paint, quickly installs and can easily be removed & reattached if you ever want to repaint your door jamb. This weather stripping was easy and fast to install, sturdily constructed and was not damaged when I removed and then reinserted the weather stripping. You can paint the weather stripping if you want to match a non white door frame or if the white becomes dirty and doesn't clean up.To verify whether your door jamb uses the Kerf system just lift, using pliers if necessary, the bottom corner of the existing weather striping to look for a slot cut into the jamb (door frame).

Easy to install.
My old weatherstrip was looking rough. I only needed it for one door, which is all this would cover. Before this, I didn’t realize that certain frames come with grooves. So thankful mine did because this was much easier than adhesive strips. Pulled the old strip out, snapped this one into the groove. Took maybe a minute. Cut it with sharp scissors.

Easy to install
Generally, I interpret reviews with skepticism. The reviews on this product seemed to be very positive so I gave it chance. Yes, the product is easy to install and works as well as I had hoped. I happy with it. Now I have to do two more doors.
