Bear strength - maybe care bear, not strong at all
From the packet it sounded like it had so much caffeine and was really strong. This tastes like a USA reception weak percolated coffee. Tastes blended and not pure. Great on price if you like a USA tasting ground coffee. A pity as I like the idea for the cause, but for my own pleasure, I won't be repeat buying.

Feed the bears, tuppence a bag...
This is exactly the kind of strong dark-roast coffee I like to find and although it's not the most layered or subtle coffee it makes a great robust cup of Robusta. It can withstand being made quite strong without getting too bitter but it does get a bit treacle/tar if you go too far. The bag isn't resealable so a clip or a jar to decant it into is a good idea but it probably won't hang around for long. This is my first cuppa of the day everyday right now and I look forward to it. To be honest, despite the product title, I don't find it to be 'very strong' but it's rich and satisfying and worth a try. I appreciate that Brown Bear make a donation to bear sanctuaries with every pack but it's a shame they're sourcing coffee from a country with such a poor human rights record as Uganda because human beings matter too... Nice coffee though.

Dark roast but not strong in flavour
I like trying different brands, as I like a strong coffee. Must say I was disappointed with this one. Dark roast maybe but strong in flavour, it is not!

Rich, strong and delicious.
This ground coffee arrived well packaged and the smell that came from the valve on the bag was literally mouth watering. We have a bean to cup machine at home, but we like to take a decent ground coffee when we go away, as it's much easier to take a coffee press with us.Having enjoyed a different blend from Brown Bear coffee previously I was aware that they were ethical towards the farmers who produce their beans, as well as donating to the Free the Bears charity, so I was very happy to order this ground coffee.Taste wise this is a perfect blend for me, it's strong, rich and full of flavour, without any bitter taste, it really is possibly the nicest blend of coffee I've tried so far, and I'm more than happy to recommend it.
