Well made
This teapot is a great size, the lid stays on when you pour, and most importantly the spout doesn’t drip tea after it’s been poured. It’s also really attractive.

Really impressed.
I am not an everyday tea drinker . . . yet. This Winter I started drinking more tea than usual since drinking coffee after noon usually keeps me too wired as the evening approaches. I had a nice little teapot, but the handle was like a kettle and was good for one cup. Anyway, this teapot is very nice. It warms well and makes a nice cup-pa. This teapot might just help me transition to becoming an everyday tea drinker! The color is as expected; neutral, soft celadon (wish it had a bit more green in it though).Good value. The quality is there. Made in China (it's a nice piece!).Not sure if they actually help, can't help but think they would, but adding a tea-cozy would put this very stylish, traditional looking teapot over the top. That said, I still give it 5 stars out of the box and having used it 3 times.

Heavy duty tea pot
I drink a lot of tea and needed a new pot. It is a slightly larger size than my last one and just as heavy duty which is perfect The bright white color and swirl pattern is attractive and it looks nice on any table.

Very pretty.
I really like the look of this teapot. The grooves are charmingly uneven and more obvious than they are in the pictures. It is quite big though, the pot itself close to 16 cm in diameter, and almost 27 cm from tip of spout to end of handle. It was a bit unexpected when I first saw it. Definitely not a designed-for-one-person teapot. It says 2 pint capacity, which is almost 1 liter (people who use fluid ounces, that's about 32 fl oz), and that is an accurate estimate of the maximum amount of tea you would be able to brew in it. But that's something like 8 tea cups of tea. The minimum amount of water I would use this pot for is probably 500 ml - a nice amount for two people and still fine for one if you're going to be around all afternoon or evening or something. The porcelain holds heat not badly at all.It seems to be fairly durable. It's collided with cups and counters and sinks several times and still hasn't chipped or cracked. The spout is also formed excellently and no tea will spill or drip annoyingly down the spout when you put it down. I also don't have any problems with picking it up and pouring from it. It is heavy, but especially if you grip the top part of the handle rather than the side/bottom, you should be fine. Note that there is no filter between the body of the pot and the spout. I would not want to be cleaning tea leaves out of the spout as it is quite wide where it joins with the pot but very narrow towards the end. Use one of those mesh tea balls. And the lid is great. Doesn't fall off when you're pouring.

Hard to handle
I own multiple items from this collection and never had a reason to complain. I absolutely love the design, quality and functionality of the products. But this tea pot disappointed me because it is not meant to be used, especially on daily basis.. The problem is its handle -- when tea pot is filled with tea even only in half, it becomes quite heavy, so that when you lift it to pour tea it slips in nose-down position. I tried to hold it in many different ways, i asked my husband to try it (thinking maybe it's just too heavy for my thin fingers) but the only way to hald it is with both hands: one is at handle, another one under spout or bottom.I guess tea pots in such ear-handle style should be of a smaller size. I wish i could know this before i ordered this one, but i decided to keep it because once you find the right way to handle it and get used to it, there will be no problems like spills or whatever. Also there is no net stopper inside in order to prevent loose tea from going into your cup.

Beautiful teapot - excellent quality - very reasonably priced
We have the whole series of Portmeirion Sophie Conran which is truly beautiful and compares very favorably with other branded tableware with respect to design, quality and price. The teapot completes the range .... It has a lot of volume for tea which - when filled all the way - makes it quite heavy. So don’t fill it all the way :-)

Um WOW!!
I delayed getting a teapot forever and just used one teabag per cup until my very English friend came to visit and shot so many snarky remarks that I tossed my hands up and admitted defeat. Upon receiving the teapot today I was super impressed! It is a very simple and elegant teapot that comes very well packaged and in a lovely box (I'll upload a picture.) I tried it out with some wild strawberry tea I bought in Mystic, CT, and I am definitely keeping this one for myself, it's very easy to use and pours well, but I'm most certainly going to buy more of these as gifts. It looks and works much more expensivly than it is and seriously, the box looks wonderful. I've never been so surprisingly pleased by a purchase.
