I am SHOCKED how nice this is!! The ENTIRE sleeve is a cold pack and it's soooo comfortable. It's in the freezer right now getting ready to save my hand from sure destruction. I have carpal tunnel in both hands, which flared up terribly when my son was born. It's been 19 years with no pain until I started painting last week. My thumb muscle was so sore and would not get better! I couldn't even hold my phone!With a little research, I discovered that my pain in my thumb muscle is from my carpal tunnel syndrome! I did not know that the two were related.After several days wearing this wonderfully comfortable ice wrap, my hand is almost completely healed! Then, while pouring cream of wheat in a bowl, I burned my pinky at the base. Ouch!! I immediately grabbed my ice wrap and put the opposing thumb on my pinky! It saved that burn! No blisters!IDK... Do you think I love this ice wrap? Yep... You will, too. Just get it!

The wrap fit well and was very comfortable. I needed it for severe arthritis in my thumb. The real problem with this unit is that it gets almost too hot after 20 seconds in the microwave and then only stays warm for about 5 min. I was hoping for something that would stay warm for at least 20-30 minutes so I was very disappointed. If I knew how quickly it cooled off, I wouldn't have ordered it.

Sitting at computer full time and getting old, my wrist and thumb get inflamed AND also sciatica pain.This was too cold for my hand when I took it out of the freezer sooo yes, I put snug bike shorts on and put it where the pain was. Stayed put even when walking around. If you deal with back pain you know you can't really be mobile with large bulky cold packs or heating pad cords.After 15 minutes in my pants 😂, it was perfect temp inside for my hand. The degree of cold tolerance may depend on your injury, for me it was ideal. I leave it on for extended periods while working. The cushion helps my wrist and the gel has a cooling effect.I did turn it inside out as another reviewer suggested, definitely made it more comfortable.

The seams are very uncomfortable on the inside. I turned it inside out to eliminate this issue.

I recently had to have thumb surgery and needed a cold compress that conformed to my wrist and thumb. This is perfect and it stays cold for 10 minutes or longer. It doesn’t take long for it to get cold after you put it in the freezer. The material is much better than gel. My thumb feels much better after getting this. Excellent value for the price. Very well made and should last quite a while
