Great with Pylontech batteries once you find the right drivers for Windows 11
Use prolific drivers 3.2.0.0 dated 31/07/2007 with windows 11. works a treat with my pylontech batteries.Followed a tutorial to switch disconnect the unneeded cables and rewire a short cat5e cable. (just one wire needs rewiring). Have Long ethernet plugged into battery then ethernet to ethernet connector then rewired ethernet cable then ethernet to ethernet connector then this cable plugged into my windows 11 pc.

Misleading and Faulty Product
I purchased this USB-to-RJ45 console cable for use with a managed network switch, and it turned out to be a huge disappointment. Right out of the box, the cable gave driver errors, and after some research, I discovered it uses a counterfeit Prolific PL2303 chip. The cable is not recognized by Windows, and it does not work with standard Prolific drivers, which makes it completely unusable. The seller’s description was misleading, as it claimed the cable was compatible with a wide range of devices, but that clearly wasn’t the case. I wasted hours troubleshooting with no success. Avoid this cable if you want something reliable—this is not it!I’ll be sending it back and looking for a more reliable alternative.

Works great with Mac
Use this cable to connect my mac to the console port of my cisco network switch. Works flawlessly

A quality cable
The cable is high quality and installed with no issues. My terminal software picked it up with no problems also. A good length as well if the switch is up high in a rack and you are up to six feet away. A great price.

Chip is Prolific, not FTDI!
Cable that arrived has a prolific chip in it, not FTDI, so didn't work for me. Avoid if you need an FTDI cable.

Works with some devices, not with others
At first this seems to be a pretty good cable. It gets detected by Windows 10 or Windows 11 automatically as a CH340 USB serial port, and works perfectly well when tested with a Cisco Catalyst 3560CG network switch.Unfortunately just because it works on those, doesn't mean it works on other devices. I tested the cable on a Cisco Aironet 2602E wireless access point: no communication. Tested on a Cisco Aironet 1702I wireless access point: no communication. An ordinary Cisco RJ45-to-DE9 cable, in conjunction with pretty much any USB-to-serial adapter, works perfectly well on all three, with no change to the communication settings.

Not compatible with Juniper device as per error message.
Not much to add. Didn't work with Juniper devices, despite saying compatible so returned.
