Q: I have 7 wires on the old one red Black yellow brown white orange & green could you tell me where they all go thanks Dave

Look in the reviews, there is a person that explains it. A couple of the wires get connected together. I followed what he said and mine works great. Think his name was Roy.

Q: old thermostat won't shut off with thermostat temp & room temp are the same unless I up the thermostat a degree. Will I have the same problem?

The lag between set temp and actual temp can be set from 0.2 degrees and 2 degrees. Refer to your instructions to learn how to set the lag. You can experiment with different settings to see the results until you are satisfied. Default setting is usually 0.5 degrees.
