Work well
These work well. If you are having trouble being able to suction up liquid through the larger diameter filters, I suggest trying these 13mm diameter filters. It is a night and day difference. Also, the soft pink color used for the plastic ring is nice. You can not beat the price or the quick shipping either.

good quality at an affordable price in an oversaturated market
there are a lot of micron filters available to buy on amazon and various other websites. at first glance they all look basically the same, but if you look at the fine print or put them to the test when you receive them, you will quickly find that there is a wide variety of qualities, manufacturing materials, and uses for these micron filters. the worst part is that many of these filters are very expensive (a dollar a piece might not sound like much but when you need to use multiples in one day it adds up- quickly).the item i am reviewing, the PEKYBIO brand ptfe 0.22 mircon filter, i'm glad to say, is not of inferior quality like some other brand's products.for example, many filters i have gotten, have exploded when exposed to the slightest amount of pressure from the syringe plunger. this is obviously unacceptable because it mixes the filtrate back together and often wastes much of the substance you are filtering. it should be mentioned that this exploding filter can also be caused by user error, ie: using a filter made of the wrong material, using a filter with too fine a pore size, using a filter that is the wrong diameter, or - most likely- a combination of all these scenarios.hydrophilic PTFE filters, like these, are most suitable for filtering aqueous solutions. PTFE is compatible with almost all solvents and the hydrophilic nature of the PTFE allows the user to filter without having to wet the filter prior to use. that being said, they are not usually suitable for filtering air or venting uses, because if they somehow get wet, they can block the flow of gasses.0.22 micron sized filters, like these, are suitable for filtering bacteria out of solution. it is commonly believed that a .22 micron filter will filter out all bacteria, leaving only fungi and viruses behind. but studies have shown that in reality, some bacteria do make it through. that being said, using a 0.22 filter will filter most bacteria species and vastly reduce the microorganism count.in conclusion, i was very happy with these filters, they served my purposes well. the only thing that could be improved upon with them, is if they were also sterile filters, for the same price- but somehow i doubt that is feasible-you cant have it all..anyways, 4 stars!
