Yes, it CAN erase EPROMs!
Arrived completely intact, well packaged. Decently well made for the money, and can be daisy chained together. As of this writing, I would say the bulb has had at least 20 hours of use (not constant, in small intervals), uncertain on the longevity. If you are using this, as I am, to clear old EPROMs, such as AM27C512s, AM27C0X0 series and others, I'm happy to say it works great! It certain emits the correct wavelength of UV light for this task. I figured I'd take my chance on one instead of a month long wait for a questionable import EPROM eraser at three times the price, and I've used it on hundreds of chips at this point. Very little ozone smell.Set your EPROMs in a row on a work bench, lay the light down across all of the chip "windows" then cover the top of the chips/bulb completely with a piece of aluminum foil approximately 8"x11" (not just to help keep the UV in, but to keep it out of your eyes and off your skin). I physically have the bulb in contact with the chip windows, it does not get hot enough to burn you or damage anything. 10 minutes is all I have ever had to wait for fully cleared EPROMs, your mileage may vary, I have not tried a shorter amount of time. Lastly, replacement bulbs are easily available if/when the bulb dies. Enjoy!

Terrible over powering smell
While it may be a UVC light, I literally cannot use it as the smell as soon as I turn it on it awful. I literally can't even be in the same room even with a vent fan going. Do yourself a favor and buy something a little nicer that will be usable indoors.

Decent price. NOT suitable for mineral display purposes.
I bought this for a fluorescent mineral display along with an non- ozone producing lamp for a little experimentation. Both lamps emit too much visible light. However, I found the ozone producing lamp useful to freshen an unused, musty bedroom. See my review. I rated this only 2 stars becasue of the exaggerated sanitizing claims in the listed. UV sanitation (it isn't an effective sterilizing method) is touted for home HVAC systems and sold to the germ phobic very widely but it really isn't that effective in most applications. If you want to remove microbes from the air, use a HEPA filyter and upgrade your housekeeping. Without ozone, UV works only on surfaces it contacts. It won't effect anything in a shaded area Also, sanitation with UV takes time. The fravction of a second air is exposed in an HVAC system does almost nothing. These units may keep the coils in an air handler a little cleaner, but the benefit overall is doubtful. I speak as a doctor.

Whats that smell?
The light works fine but it totally smells like ozone. I got the ozone free version but, if it's not ozone, what is that smell?

REAL UVC
Real UVC light so it will kill bacteria and fungi. But not very strong, so it will take longer than more intense — and expensive — lights. For me, just fine.

Always read all warnings and uses for a U.V.C. light never look at it directly..
Works well for, hopefully it will last a long time I have it temporarily attached to my Big Blue Air Filter just above the filter.CAUTION DO NOT LOOK AT THE U.V.C. LIGHT MAKE SURE NO ONE CAN DIRECTLY LOOK AT THE U.V.C. LIGHT CAN CAUSE PERMANENT EYE DAMAGE.... LEARN ABOUT ACCEPTED USES..

excellent product with no noticeable ozone...
Excellent UV decontamination lamp. No ozone and it really does the job from keeping things clean and the size along with the brightness is perfect.
