I have no idea how this thing works but it works. It leaves behind a little bit of a funky smell which is hard to describe. Maybe it smells a little like dry plastic. But that smell eventually goes away after a few hours. My roommate is very sensitive to certain odors and so I have to constantly use this thing to get rid of smells from the kitchen every time I cook. And boy does this thing do it's magic. I usually set it at 30-60 minutes and it gets rid of all the odors from Indian food, fried foods, oils, etc.

Bought this to supplement some fall deep house cleaning. After a thorough cleaning, used this in the crawlspace, closets and bathrooms. Does a great job of destroying odors in a confined space. The unit is easy to use and the timer function works fine. You definitely do not want people or pets in the area or same room while it is running so just follow the instructions. Ive only had it about 6 months but have used it 10 or so times so can not comment about longevity but it does seem solid...

My first thought was oh yeah right this stuff don't work boy was I ever wrong. I don't usually leave reviews unless it's worthy and this machine is Worthy I'm a heavy smoker trying to quit and I never thought it would ever take the tobacco smell out of my apartment but it did. Not only did it do that but it took the musty smell out of my apartment. I washed and cleaned every wall I washed all my clothing and my daughters and all of our bedding. I cleaned my carpets. Basically cleaned everything like I do every year smell always comes back. But not this time even people who absolutely hate smoking can't even smell a bit of it in my apartment anymore or on my clothing. I like that fresh smell yes these machines give off a smell kind of like bleach but I don't mind and once I aired out my apartment for a few hours it was like fresh dried linen on the clothesline. You don't have to believe me it did work it even fooled my smoke sniffing brother who hates cigarettes so bad he will tell you straight out you smell like an ashtray and ride you on the subject for hours lol.. he asked me if I quit and I said no, I said I'm trying, he said where did the smoke smell in here go? And I showed him. He details cars and he said oh you little sneak LOL and he knows about this but he said this was a great price for it and couldn't believe I paid so little. And yes I am trying to quit. Anyway I would highly recommend this product you won't regret it and since there is no smoke smell in here it's been getting easier to cut back to the point of quitting.
