Worked Great!
Worked great. I have no complaints. He was compact so after use I could store it easily. It was a good price for its use.

Powerful and Small!!
This worked just like the original one I had. It was strong enough to extract most of the air in the bags. As long as it hold up I am happy!!

It Works
So far this little guy has been amazing. I was really impressed with the price and then the performance. I don’t use it a lot so I can’t speak to longevity, but it’s worked beautifully and fast enough each time.I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

This pump is a good execution of a bad idea. Just pack less stuff.
QUICK WARNING. Make sure you weigh your bags before you get on a plane! Otherwise, you could pay a large fee for an overweight bag! (More info in the full review)I'm not including a photo like I normally do, because I'm being lazy, and the BAMCOO Electric Pump for Vacuum Storage Bags is exactly as described in the photos. It's a small white vacuum pump with a decent length cable, and a black switch on the side. Honestly, that's really all you need for a travel pump, and it functions as well as you'd expect from a vacuum this small.I bought this because I was on a multi-week cross-country road trip with a car packed solid with stuff, and I realized I desperately wanted to see out of my car's back window. I already had vacuum bags, but a lot of vacuum bags slowly re-inflate, so you need to keep sucking the air out of them on a semi-regular basis. I also left in a hurry, so I didn't have time to vacuum down everything. This pump helped a lot on the long road trip, by allowing me to squeeze out a bit more space from my cramped car. I also benefitted from being able to take more stuff on several flights I went on over the last few months. The pump does exactly what you'd expect. It removes air from vacuum bags. It's not as powerful as a full blown vacuum, so you don't get vacuum bags that are rock solid bricks, like you would with a powerful floor vacuum, but this pump does have enough suction to remove most of the volume of your clothes, and that's valuable. It's worth skipping the floor vacuum with packing to leave, since you aren't going to have that extra suction on the return trip. The worst time to realize this pump isn't very strong, is when you're trying to catch a flight home. It's not trivial to use, though. Especially if you're packing and unpacking often. Bulky clothes like large jackets or pillows will require you to manually push the bulky parts down, to free up the air to be sucked out of the bag. It works, but it's still tedious. And sucking air out of the bags makes them not just flatter, but also narrower. So you need to have some pretty good packing skills to get real value out of the extra volume in your suitcase. What I did, was leave some small clothes like shirts or socks to pack in any extra suitcase space freed up by the vacuum bags getting narrower. I ended up being able to pack maybe 33% more clothes in my suitcase, but I'm sure you could do better with more effort. Mostly, I was using the vacuum bags to save me from having to sit on my suitcase to get everything in.However, packing my bags extra dense ended up biting me, because I got caught with an overweight bag on one of my flights. I ended up wiggling out of the overweight fee, but you might not be so lucky. MAKE SURE TO WEIGH YOUR BAGS. Compressing clothes is nice, but traveling lighter is usually the better option. Next time I'm doing a lot of traveling, I'm just going to pack lighter and use a laundromat to wash my clothes.I'm keeping the pump, but I don't know that I'd pack it for my next trip. Packing all your stuff back into your suitcase is a huge pain, so this pump nearly doubles your packing/unpacking effort every time you change hotels. Probably worth it for a two week trip to Hawaii, but probably not worth it if you're planning on hopping between hotels multiple times. You can also find vacuum bags that you just compress with your own muscles, and the air escapes out. Honestly, I'd take those over this pump on my next trip. Manual compression bags aren't great for large items, but they're way better for packing small items like you'd want in a backpack. If you're flying, always pack emergency clothes just incase you miss your flight. Plus, carrying a few small bags costs you nothing in weight or size, so you can bring them along just incase, and not feel bad if you didn't use them. The pump, meanwhile, requires bags with bulky nozzles, and the pump takes up the space of 2-ish rolled t-shirts. It's a lot of effort to use, and if you bring the pump and don't use it, you could have just packed an extra day of clothes instead. The best use-case for this pump is that it's cheap, and you can get it delivered to an amazon locker if you realize your bags aren't going to make it home without throwing something out, and you have time to wait on the delivery. Just watch out for over-packing your bags, because you can pay extra at the airport, and packing and vacuuming bags is a huge pain if you have to do it multiple times. That's a lot of caveats to recommend a product that's less than 10$, so I'm giving the pump a 4/5 rating. It's exactly what it promises, but if you're planning a trip that requires you to compress your clothes, I'd ask you to reconsider your plans. It's usually better to just pack less stuff. You'd be surprised what you don't actually need on a trip.

Gets hot too quickly
Bought this because it’s cheap. It works for small vacuum bags, but not the storage sized bags I use for throws and comforters. It gets hot quickly and smells like it’s burning if I use it too long. Seems okay to use one small bag at a time. Must wait for it to cool down before you reuse. Wanted to return, but I threw away the original packaging.
