Does the job well - but one design drawback.
I have been contentedly using this case for my TZ100 for 18 months, and have now recommended it to a friend. The case well fulfils all of my practical needs: after I had worked out that the best way for operational use is to remove the upper (lens cover) half and place it in my jacket pocket whilst shooting - otherwise the upper half dangles annoyingly. Being able to change the SD card and battery without removing the lower half is certainly a plus. This last point leads to the design drawback: causing the camera to hang from my neck with lens facing upwards - and not forwards as would be expected. Otherwise, this is a quality product.

The best case for your Panasonic TZ100
This is absolutely the best carry case for your Panasonic TX100. It adds a neck strap to it and when its around your neck, you feel no weight at all. It provides very good protection against knocks and damage. It's the perfect case for throwing in a case to take on holiday, or take with you everywhere. And if you do want to put it in your pocket, you either still can (with the strap hanging down) or you can quickly remove it from the case in seconds by unscrewing the tripod screw at the bottom.Because it screws in to the tripod screw, it's a very secure case that the camera can't fall out of. But don't worry, you can still attach it to a tripd as the case provides the option.I tried a few cases, but this is definately the best and it looks like real leather too and looks very expensive. I'm very pleased with it.

Excellent
Excellent camera case, very well made from leather. Highly recommended.

Close but no five star
Like- quality leather, fits the TZ100 nicely, quality leather neck strap.Dislike- the lens cover drops down for using the camera but is too heavy for the press stud and falls off, I just remove it while using the camera. The flap which folds down to allow access to battery and memory card does not allow the camera flap to open- due the leather being too close fitting, so the case has to be removed completely.

Overall excellent, but mine had a (fixable) manufacturing defect
Overall, this is a good quality case that seems quite robust, thoughtfully designed, and well-constructed, although there mine had a (fixable) defect that might make it unusable for some, and for which I've docked a star. For reference, I'm using this case with the ZS200D / TZ200D model. The leather is decent quality, and the case provides reasonable protection against knocks yet isn't too bulky or heavy. It adds a little extra bulk that actually makes the camera fit a little better in my hand, and the slight extra heft makes it a little easier to hold the camera steady.Positives:[+] Good quality leather, no nasty smells.[+] Felt interior lining protects the camera surface and catches dust.[+] Sturdy construction with quality poppers, stitching, studs, reinforcement patches, and aluminium base.[+] Decent strap, good length, and adjustable. A little on the thin side, and no cushioning at the neck but then this is a for a light camera, not a heavy DSLR. Came supplied with some quick-release toggles, but the cords look so thin and flimsy I wouldn't trust them. A little awkward to thread the straps, but you only have to do this once, and a good diagram of how to do this is provided.[+] Case screws into tripod mount on camera, so there's no way the camera is going to fall out of this case![+] Hollow attachment screw, so you can still use a tripod without removing the case.[+] There is enough space in the lens cover to accommodate filters. Approx 6 to 7mm of additional space.[+] The case does not impede access to any physical features of the TZ200: screen, viewfinder, lens ring, all buttons, battery/sdcard compartment (but see first 'con' below...), HDMI/USB port, and built-in strap anchors are all accessible without having to remove the case.[+] Looks good. Not too flashy or eye-catching.[+] No overt logos. Just a relatively small and discreet leather stamp on the back of the case, not visible from the front.Negatives/nitpicks:[-] The main issue is that the cutaway for the battery cover was not aligned correctly, or cut too small. I had to file away a small amount of material around the opening to allow the battery cover to open correctly. This is a 10 minute fix with a small file (£5 file kit from Homebase), but this might cause an instant return/refund for some -- you shouldn't have to fix this yourself, after all! At least one other reviewer has mentioned this issue, but most haven't, so it perhaps this only affects a small percentage of cases.[-] Because the leather hugs the camera quite tight, it's a little awkward to align the screw when inserting the camera, but this gets easier once you have the knack.[-] The camera doesn't hang perfectly vertical from the straps, but it's good enough.[-] "Left-handed" popper configuration. Several people have commented about the popper not keeping the cover flap attached when open, but I'm sure they are using the wrong popper. (One is a strong type meant to remain attached, the other is for easy-opening.) I think because of the battery cover position, the one that is designed to be opened is not the one you might expect -- you have to open the popper on the right, whereas I think intuitively right-handed people would hold the camera with their right hand (as you would hold the camera) and open the left popper, which is the wrong one. This is a little awkward at first, but again, you get used to it.[-] It's not a full case. The sides remain partially open to the elements, so this isn't going to provide any serious degree of weather protection, or prevent sand getting into the case, although it does a pretty good job of protecting the front of the lens assembly.[-] Due to poppers on the base, the bottom is not flat, so the camera won't sit horizontally on a flat surface with the case attached. You can't just pop it on a wall or table for a group selfie, for example, without propping it on something, using a tripod, or removing the case.In summary: this is a well-designed quality case, that does a good jobs of protecting the camera, with a few minor nitpicks. However, an alignment issue with the battery cover (possibly a manufacturing defect/QA issue on my particular case) might make it unusable unless you're prepared to do a DIY fix. (If it wasn't for the defect, I would have given this a full 5 stars.)

Great case for a Panasonic Lumix TZ100
Better and cheaper than an original Panasonic item, with full access to the battery/SD card compartment on the camera base, via a neat flap - secured by a small press stud. Metal loops are provided for attaching a neck strap (provided), though this combo will probably live in a larger camera bag, with charger, cable, spare battery, SD card, folding (flat), USB mains adaptor, cleaning wipes and - most importantly - a small coin to loosen the base screw/tripod bush that secures base portion of this case to the camera. The manufacturers have even made the Press stud that you "Undo" to use the camera, slightly looser than the other one - should you wish to remove the front cover section completely. Clever stuff. The only negative feature is that there is nowhere to stow a spare SD card or battery, but the case is sufficiently roomy to allow for an additional, self-adhesive (FBG3), finger-grip on the front of a TZ100, yet still permit easy closure. Excellent quality, well designed and value for money.

Quality camera case
This is an excellent camera case of real quality. It fits my TZ200 perfectly. The front falls open on releasing press stud and access to the the battery /card is easy via separate flap. No fault can be found with it but as its made of leather its obviously not waterproof but with a camera of this size its easy to put in pocket or inside jacket if its raining.

Good Product and great customer support.
There was a problem with a snap which caused a malfunction. I contacted the manufacturer and the issue was quickly fixed and promptly remedied. The manufacturer did a wonderful job and I am very satisfied with the product, it's design, price and the manufacturer's prompt help. I will certainly do business with MegaGear any time I need their products in the future.

Sehr durchdachte Kamera Tasche
