We purchased the Smart bedside bedwetting alarm because our 8-year old daughter was bedwetting every single night of the week. She would sleep so deeply at night that she could not wake up even it a train passed by with a loud whistle let alone use the bathroom. She would soak through her pull up every night of the week and we have had this problem since she was 5. We tried various different things and times to do the night time potty training but the attempts left her anxious, upset, and sad. We even tried to limit her liquid intakes before bed time but nothing was working for her. We didn't know what to do and tried till we tried this alarm. It was our last resort and since many other things had failed, we had less hopes.This is an incredible product and it worked exactly as promised. The alarm is designed to teach child’s mind to wake up right when wetting starts to occur. When my daughter started using the alarm for first few nights she would wet the bed nightly and I had to go to her room to wake her up. By week 2 her bed wetting was incredibly diminished. By week 3 she was nearly dry every night and by week 4 her bedwetting days were over.Now no more bedwetting from last one month. She has so much more confidence, does not feel ashamed, and is so proud that she has stopped wetting the bed. Like so many others we just wonder why we didn't find this faster. it is well worth the money!!!

This worked greAt for a month. Then the alarm never worked again. My daughter was upset to tell me because it was so expensive. She said it was easy to use and quickly got the hang of the how it's then the alarm completely stop working no sounds at all.

It works exactly as described, however the alarm does not wake up my son. Since it doesn't wake him up, it's not very effective.

First, let me say that I will continue to use this product and then update my review in a few weeks. Thus far, we have not had a good experience. The design of the product is small, so if you have a child who rolls around at night, like mind, there's no way to keep her directly on the device. We've had 2 accidents that completely missed the device. Also, it's made from a thin sheet of plastic (it's like a thick piece of clear plastic that you would use for a report cover or overhead projector). And while I understand this is to protect the wires/sensors, it's not very smart because even under a bed sheet and inside the included sleeve, it makes crackling sounds as the child moves around and doesn't allow for a peaceful sleep. It definitely does detect the slightest moisture b/c we have had 2 false alarms in 1 night from (I'm guessing) sweat. As the directions suggested, I will give it at least 4 more weeks, as the other devices I have ordered haven't worked to stop the bed-wetting.

This alarm is not just for teens and adults. It is perfect for young children too. My son turned 8 and we were at our wits ends trying to figure out whats the best way for him to stop wetting the bed. We purchased a wearable alarm but he absolutely hated it and would disconnect the sensor midway in his sleep.We looked at mat options and there are just two or three here to chose from. We purchased smart for its reviews and price. First, the mat is sensitive, very sensitive. You have to make sure to use it correctly or you will get false alarms. The best thing to do it so place the mat in the sleeve and then put it below a thick bed sheet. This will increase comfort an eliminated our false alarms. After a few weeks of use, we started making good progress and he was on his way to dry nights. Its super easy to use and clean. The sleeve gets wet and you can use the second sleeve so there is no need to wash and dry. This is a good system and does the job.Some parents have complained of false alarms. Well if you are going to use the sleeve and the bedsheet, there will not be any false alarm. It will operate flawlessly. We live in cold weather and the heat is turned up all the way and if we did not have false alarms, you will not have them either. For what its worth, this is a really good and reliable bedwetting alarm. Well worth it.

In two nights, we had 3 false alarms that woke my daughter up event hough she was completely dry. Sure this must be a defect, I called the manufacturer's customer service line. I was told that false alarms are extremely rare, but that his also could not be a defect. My options are to put additional layers between my daughter and the alarm, which could leave to the pee being absorbed and not setting off the alarm when it needs to go off or ship it back to them at my expense, wait for them to receive it, and then wait for a replacement. Really frustrated to have paid this much for a product that hasn't functioned properly for one night. Even more frustrated at the sorry excuse for customer service I experienced on this call. For my $85, I got a crappy, malfunctioning plastic mat and a daughter grumpy from being unnecessarily awakened in the night.

Item was fine except the alarm isn't loud enough to wake someone from sleep.

I bought the Smart bedside bedwetting alarm for my 9-year-old special need son. it was suggested to me by the pediatrician. I did not know there was such a product as all I did was change his bedsheets. My son cannot get up own his own and needs help. Some times when he was wetting the bedsheet I did not come to know. With the help of this alarm as soon as he even starts wetting it beeps and makes me aware of it. It is been a great help. Excellent product that detects the tiny drop of pee and starts beeping. He has been using the alarm for two months. He won't overcome his bedwetting, but his wetting incidents have come down considerably. First he used to wet 2-3 times a night. Now, hes wetting about 2 times a week. This is amazing. It has helped a ton. Plus its comfortable, easy to operate and very convenient for us to set up. the alarm is loud, so we can hear it in the other room and never miss a bedwetting accident.
