Robo India The UNO Starter Kit

This is my second review of the kits from Robo India. I had purchased and helped build the Da Vinci Line Follower Robot kit for my nephew before . Overall I like the way Robo India is making robotics more accessible/ affordable for beginners and kids. Moving on to the product review:This kit has a lot of items in it and some of them are tiny. It can be overwhelming at first when you unbox it but every little thing is labelled and you will have no trouble finding what you need. Yes, you will need to search though them because they all come in tiny bags and you have to flip them over to see whats in each bag. Its not organized as shown in the picture. You will have to do it yourself, which is not a bad idea anyways. Also you must know basics of electronics to be able to work with the bread board. If this is used by a kid then adult help will be required. Kids between 12 - 14 can probably figure it out themselves. Anyone younger will need help for sure.This is a completely self contained kit with the Arduino Uno board. You will however need to download the Arduino IDE software which is free.I found that using the instructions on the Robo india website was easier than using the included booklet. The circuit diagrams are a lot clearer online than in the booklet. All of the components included worked as expected. There are tons of projects you can try out in addition to the ones mentioned in the booklet. You can mix and match different sensors and create your own projects. If you have time on your hands you can create really interesting projects and spend many happy weekends with this kit. Highly recommend to both adult beginners and pre teens / teens with an aptitude for electronics/robotics.

Got delivery just today.Packing is top Notch, everything is properly labeled and placed in a ziplock bag. As other reviews mentioned this is Arduino UNO compatible device, not the original one.Set up was easier than anticipated, Windows 10 I suppose already comes with the driver so I just had to install the software and it took just a couple of mins. Being a complete novice in this, I didn't expect to be able to complete "hello world program " so quickly. The tutorial is good enough, but it doesn't explain why it works the way it works. Now that I can see the output, need to understand what goes into it.

Hi guys,You can check from my profile that I'm a Youtube as well and I create videos related to DIY stuff, so keep buying things annd electrical devices that I require.So that is why I was thinking of buying a Arduino and came across many different brands available in market dealing in this. After a long comparsion and also the quality and no. of items in the kit, this kit ranked best every time.As, being a college student, I am not able to spend that much money so this kit was also in my bugdet.Thosewere the reasons that I bought this kit and very much impressed.THe BEST highlight is its quality, each part in it ranging from f2f jumper wires to Arduino board itself everything is upto the mark.Even on my Youtube channel, I had made is review video, you check there as well.It also contains a guide for the beginners as well, you should try it if you want to experience the arduino.Hope this review would be helpful for you.From my side you must try it and give it a chance.Thank you

Got all the listed items but Arduino board is not original and felt bit expensive.

The USB cable that came in was NOT working. I spent hours trying to get started. And finally realized it was the bad USB cable.I am not sure of the other items as well. I haven't got a chance to use all of them yet. Don't know how many more bitter surprises are waiting for me. :(having charged 2000 Rupees for the kit, they should ship good quality components. A beginner runs the risk of getting turned off from pursuing Arduino projects because of poor quality of items shipped.I don't /didn't have the time/energy to pursue this company Robo India.

Works as described.The kit is marked as 'Make in India' but all components appear to be made in China.The Arduino board is a compatible one, Made In China, but is exactly similar to the original one in component layout.After evaluating all the components, the overall kit value does not appear to be more than ₹1300.

Good one. Firstly the Arduino board is working good. Comes with break board for separate component connection. It's very good for Beginner. I mean I got discount and with that I get all components with servo moter, led, LCD screen, so many components are included. Also tutorial boom is available.Gud board is working nice and components are also working nice. Go for it.

This kit is quite adequate for beginners. Only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because the LCD i got was defective.
