Q: can this light be dimmed with a dimmer switch ?

The answers, including by the seller, are contradictory. There is no way to adjust the light output built into the unit. The vendor does not offer advice on a suitable external dimming mechanism nor does it discuss changes that a dimmer might cause to the spectrum. It would be nice if the seller would give explicit advice on external dimmers. Otherwise a solid unit.
