Worthwhile mini PC!
Great computer. Runs intensive programs well. Super easy to install. Does sound a bit like a leafblower sometimes when it's working really hard but overall it's not too loud. Fits super easily on a desktop. Great size for the power!

Requires 60 to 90 minutes of updates
I ONLY buy Asus monitors and motherboards and won't consider anything other brands, but this NUC is the first and last Asus computer I will ever buy. If I turn on a computer for the first time and it REQUIRES (not getting out of it) 60 to 90 minutes of mandatory updates before using, your computer was not ready to ship out the door in the first place.I bought my first computer in 1990, 35 years ago, and I have never had anything require so many updates prior to using. After about 45 minutes of updates, a message appeared on the screen that said "You're 100% there. Please keep your computer on." After 10 minutes of looking at that message, I'm wondering why it isn't rebooting or whatever it needs to do, but that message was on the screen for 30 minutes, I was 100% there for 30 minutes before it finally disappeared and I could use the device. At one point of looking at that message, I assumed something was wrong and came very close to putting it back in the box and returning it to Amazon or Asus.Do not buy this computer unless you are going on vacation and can wait 60 to 90 minutes to do its thing.

Easy to setup, a little loud, no 3.5 audio
This is a very nice computer, price is right. The only things that I would change is, it's a little loud and it does not have a 3.5mm jack for audio. I had to buy a USB speaker set. It seems fast enough for normal tasks, Excel, Word, Acrobat, Chrome browsing etc.Super simple to setup, everything is installed and ready to go. I think for the price its a good buy. I love the space saving.

Far Too Noisy
I've owned several ASUS computers over the years and have always been appreciate of their overall quality. Not so here. Most notably, in basic Windows navigation, the CPU fan on this is kicking in constantly and is noisy beyond belief for me. Additionally, it is constantly changing speeds and reminds me of many years of old when using laptops was a constant adventure in fan noise.

Really good Mini PC
I just started using this device (i5 version) version and I'm already loving it.Extensive number of ports. Very small form factor. Relatively quiet (although it might get bit noisy if doing some update or some more intensive task - which is OK).I connected it to my 5k Studio Display and it works like a charm.Connectivity is excellent (don't forget to install official drivers from Asus website).I am planning to use it as my home server 24/7 for home assistant, web-server BUT also use it as a personal computer (not for gaming of course) occasionally, so for these expectations my this PC should perform just fine without being noisy and without taking a huge chunk of space.

Horrible performance for an i9 with 32gb RAM - DO NOT RECOMMEND
I am a Sr systems engineer. This was to be a replacement for my old Dell desktop. For an i9 Ultra processor with 32GB of ram, it runs slower than the old EOL dell that am replacing. Whether Asus has put together a solid desktop - I would not recommend. It has terrible performance. I will be replacing it again with something other than an Asus model. It’s horrible.

Fantastic, small form-factor PC!!!
The ASUS NUC 14 is a nice replacement to an HUGE HP Tower desktop that can no longer be supported. This was a Christmas present for my husband - took a few hours to set it up and get through all the patches and updates (as you would expect for a new PC), but it's working, and SO much faster than the old HP! And the size is perfect! It's smaller than an Apple Mac Mini (for comparison)!

Works for us
We use this on a KVM as a general productivity and light development work computer. For our purpose it has been perfect. We use MS Office and Visual Studio code on it without any issues. Very small and quiet. It is very portable. You can have KVM cables ready for it at different stations and then just move it around to where you need it.
